Floyds punches will hurt so long as they are in combinations, the more he throws the more Cotto will hurt single pot shots wont make much difference. Cotto will get slower and slower as the fight continues.

Cotto will find it difficult to land combination due to the speed of Floyd and will eventually aim for a one punch finish. Which he aint gonna get.

Not comparing Cotto with Ortiz because there is no comparison because Cotto is serious and Ortiz dumbs out but Floyd was stopping him in his tracks at times and Floyd also had Mosley at a stand still reluctant to throw so he must have some kind of pop. I just see Cotto trying to be the boxer and out do Mayweather and Floyd exploiting every short coming of Cotto in that department.
