Definitely tounge-in-cheek.
You can picture exactly how he said it.
Who cares if he doesn't like Mayweather anyway? I can't really blame him.Comment

If you can find one example of anyone calling him monkey Mayweather, I will apologise. But I just don't ever see any racism towards Floyd. I can't speak for white Americans, but here in Britain, I don't. If you ask 90% of British young white boxers who there favourite boxer is they say Floyd.Comment

There are plenty of examples of Floyd being called monkey on the internet. Of course there are racism against Floyd. There are also racism against other fighters Klitschko's, Pacquaio, Mexican fighters, other black fighters, etc etc. Floyd isn't the only one that suffer from this.If you can find one example of anyone calling him monkey Mayweather, I will apologise. But I just don't ever see any racism towards Floyd. I can't speak for white Americans, but here in Britain, I don't. And, to the OP, What Hatton said has nothing to do with any grudge or being affected by the loss. He might just not genuinely like him. And, it's not cuz' of racism either. It's hard to like Floyd TBH. Just like it's hard not to respect the man skills in the ring.Comment

I agree 100 percentNothing wrong with what Hatton said, He actually is very gracious and truthful, He didn't allow the fact that he never liked Mayweather get in the way of picking him to beat both pac and Cotto, You can only respect his opinion without the hate.. I see so many boxers, posters and media who basically pick against Mayweather base on hate.Comment
