You eyes aren't open then. That's a very true statement that he made.

      Definitely tounge-in-cheek.

You can picture exactly how he said it.

Who cares if he doesn't like Mayweather anyway? I can't really blame him.

If you can find one example of anyone calling him monkey Mayweather, I will apologise. But I just don't ever see any racism towards Floyd. I can't speak for white Americans, but here in Britain, I don't. If you ask 90% of British young white boxers who there favourite boxer is they say Floyd.

There are plenty of examples of Floyd being called monkey on the internet. Of course there are racism against Floyd. There are also racism against other fighters Klitschko's, Pacquaio, Mexican fighters, other black fighters, etc etc. Floyd isn't the only one that suffer from this.

And, to the OP, What Hatton said has nothing to do with any grudge or being affected by the loss. He might just not genuinely like him. And, it's not cuz' of racism either. It's hard to like Floyd TBH. Just like it's hard not to respect the man skills in the ring.

I see so many boxers, posters and media who basically pick against Mayweather base on hate.

how is this such a big thread? hatton doesnt like floyd as a person, hes not exactly the only one. yet he respects his ability as a fighter, again hes not the only one. no contradictions, no mysteries, simple..

                    Some Mayweather fans are racist
                    Some Pacquiao fans are racist

                    Mayweather is a racist.
Pacquiao is not a racist though

My dislike of Mayeather has nothing to do with his "race, nationality, religion or sexual orientation.

He doesnt have to like Foyd but He respects him as a fighter and calls it like he sees it. Thats what matters.
