Roy went to far up in weight and than tried to go to far down. It's not like Floyd is going to 160 or 168 and than going down trying to fight at 147 or something. And though Roy is one of the greatest ever H2H/skills hands down, Floyd has much more pure ability and boxing skill to fall back n than Roy did. That's why you see Floyd at 35 years old still able to beat anyone.

Having said that, Cotto has a very real chance of not just beating floyd, but destroying him
Fighter of the Decade? Really? You do know outside-of-boxing accomplishments have considerable stock in that "award"?
Floyd has been considered one of the greatest ever to lace gloves for several years now. Cotto destroying Floyd? Don't be ridiculous, Cotto couldn't destroy fighters more than twice as slow and significantly less technically and fundamentally sound than Floyd, he won't even come close.
