Am I the only one wanting Vazquez/Abril/Burns to match off in some round robin type of thing?

They'll get it eventually. We have plenty of Cubans coming to the scene.

The WBA do didn't anything. They just gave Abril the same "interim" belt that he has been holding after he beat Acosta before the Rios fight.

What exactly is an Interim Belt?

Robbed?? Someone took his bicycle? Abril simply showed that jabbing like a girl, and hugging and running can play with people's minds making them believe he won. Cowards don't win. Nobody wants to watch his fights. Except some cuban traitors.

He may deserve it, but shouldn't be spoonfed it. Abril gets a belt for losing? This ain't the space olympics.

                  Good post.

People have different tastes. If someone likes a particular style, that's their right. I can't tell you not to like steak if that's what you prefer. It seems that too many people link style with scoring. As you pointed out, the basic objective of boxing is to score while not being scored upon. Some fighters prefer to go for the knockout while their opponent repeatedly hits them. That's cool, too. But if the KO doesn't come, they shouldn't be given the win solely because they were the "aggressor."

Richard Abril was robbed blind. It looks like only you and those two judges that scored for Rios don't think so. Like I said in my previous post, if you don't like Abril's style, that's fine; you're certainly not alone. But the way boxing is scored is the way it's scored, whether you like it or not. Richard won that fight easily.

As for the term "Cuban traitor," there's no such thing, at least not when it comes to Castro. When people are oppressed by a dictator and his communist regime and they leave, the word "traitor" doesn't apply.
