Corrales wasn't known as a boxer, more of a puncher & with very average hand speed

Chico looked awful though. How or why he decided to just plot after Floyd with no jab, no offense at all, was a joke. And in the end, Floyd boxed his ears off and beat him down.
I admit Diego wasn't himself but it wouldn't have matter anyway - Floyd was too fast. Floyd slept on Castillo & that's why Castillo won the 1st fight despite the decision.

Based on level of opposition, definitely Corrales.
Please, Gatti had no skills, just guts and you see where it got him....

You got this information from where?

You basically made Chico a physical wreck and then marvelled at how Fraud dismantled him. Well that fits the overall fraud perpetrated by Fraud Mayweather his whole career. Smoke and mirrors from start to finish. Fight somebody in their prime Fraud, at that their natural weight on even terms.....or is that too much to ask. Nobody buys your BS unless they get money from you. You are a fraud and if they dont already know they're starting too. Dehydrated, undersized, cheat, shot fighters, wait till they get old, dodge them all together. It's what Fraud will be remembered for.......
Excuses, excuses.......Diego put himself out there - why run a race just to come in second place? If he knew he was going to lose, why fight? Doesn't make sense - come again........

Again, Gatti didn't have skills - not saying he was Mayorga-like, but he was always easy to hit so that fight was sparring for Floyd.....

He'd gone up in weight, was going to gaol for 2 years, had lost his family, was desperate, over his head in debt and more. Carrales said "they made me an offer I couldn't refuse". Corrales had been having weight proble,s for a while. For this fight he spent 9 days plus the weigh-in morning in the sweat box, and still had to come back to the scales twice. When he made the weight, it was remarked by a well known writer that he was helped to the scales; "his skin was grey, and his bones were sticking out all over..I knew then that he had no chance"...

Merchant said he saw him just before the fight in his dressing room "scoffing down a huge hamburger sandwich". He rehydrated overnight 17 lbs. That's nearly 14% of his bodyweight. He was drained, and waterlogged. He was like a zombie. He knew he wouldn't win, but needed the money. His trainer said he couldn't get him to train, he just sat in his room playing a gameboy. It's fairly sure that his huge rehydration caused an electrolytic imbalance, making him sluggish and unco-ordinated. He never was like that before. The only thing that was unchanged was his fighting spirit.

Isn't it "priceless" that with Mayweather taunting him by dedicating the fight to all the battered women, (referring to Corrales' getting 2 years for assaulting his wife) that he himself would shortly after, be charged with woman-beating, the same woman he recently got sentenced for.

So that's the REAL story behind the great Mayweather victory over Corrales. it was really a victory for cunning and taking advantage in adversity, against a helpless opponent. I have a letter from the writer who witnessed the weigh-in. And....I've written all this many times before, but nobody seems to pay attention. Teh Maybugs never wiil, but maybe reasonable people... Well...one more time is no harm....
Floyd is a d-bag, plain & simple, but Diego wasn't an angel either. But I definitely agree with that 3rd paragraph though.

It's eff'd up but you get any advantage you can over your opponent, except PEDs, illegal handwraps & taking the stuffing out the gloves.

Again, Diego didn't have to take that fight, but he felt he had to. That was his decision. No one held a gun to his head....

Heck, his performance against Baldomir was great. He made Baldomir look like a C class fighter. That's the thing these so-called boxing fans should take into consideration when they predict a loss for Floyd. He makes good fighters look ordinary.
Again, Gatti was always hittable - doesn't apply & Baldomir is B-level....

He didn't have to take the fight - he had already moved on. He played himself. And 5 kd's and you say his corner didn't hesitate to stop it? I couldn't disagree with you more......

I've been irritated for a long time over the lack of information about behind-the-scenes goings-on for that fight. Things are hardly ever what they seem unless they are really transparent... with step by step accessible info released.

Corrales obviously knew he had no chance but his fighting spirit kept him going. It was purely disgusting.
He's supposed to know what he's needs to do & he didn't do it. Stop with the excuses. It's his fault he couldn't make the weight, not Floyd's. C'mon Floyd eats McD's all the time & has never had issues with his weight. And why throw yourself to the lions if you know you're not prepared. Not smart at all. Damn, I can't believe I'm defending Floyd & I can't stand him.......

Diego was his own man & took the fight - his job to get himself ready despite whatever's going on in his life. Not the JuanMa excuse!

Maybe it was Mayweather's best performance, but he's not the kind of bar setting opponent that is implied such a description.

Put another way, if Corrales and Castillo hadn't been in that mental fight, they'd be footnotes in history and barely known.

I'm more interested in how Mayweather performed against Hatton, De La Hoya, Mosley, Marquez, Hernandez, than some 0 defense guy like Corrales who was nothing if you took away his punching power. Any of those guys I'd have mentioned would have whooped Corrales at 135lbs. His only advantage was that he was a monster in size at 130lbs, but Mayweather was never a small 130lber himself.
Mosely was a beast @ 135 - that's where he should have stayed IMO....

Castillo had has a better chin than Corales and Floyd had a broken hand in Castillo 1. If Castillo had some amazing strategy to beat floyd he would have won the immediate rematch but he didnt.
