Reed, yes it was but to look at it individually doesn't capture the true essence of what occurred. Floyd either stayed with TR and fought Margs and prob Cotto, or he pays 750k buyout and fights Baldomir which leads to an ODH fight.

Walt if he stays with TR and doesn't fight Margs no one would care either way because floyd wouldn't be where he is right now.

          See what Im saying...

That's what I was talking about with Gino.

I understand the business point, I understand Floyds moves, why he did them and I would of probably done the same.

But don't confuse that, with when we start talking about credit for wins and resume.

Right now Im talking about resume, and Floyds resume would of looked better with Margarito on it rather than Baldomir.

          That cannot be disputed.

But, like I said, given the financial motivation I understand why he did what he did, and anybody else would of done the same.

I think clearly that was the case. And that is a solid argument. I just hate it when people try to pretend as if Baldomir was as good as Margarito.

Zab had him on Sesame street for a minute with the uppercut.

Unless Floyd comes in and LOOKS 35 1/2... I foresee a fight full of highlight reels.
I look at Cotto physically (dimension-wise) and I see a guy who is built kinda like Gatti and Hatton. Marquez even.

I then watch the Cotto/Mosley fight and I see a guy who has boxing skills "about even" as Shane Mosley. And Floyd showed that his boxing ability is WAY above Mosley.

I watch Miguel and I see a guy who is neither particularly quick nor fast. And the next "creative" punch Cotto throws will be the first.

Cotto is a very good fighter. He sucks at nothing.

But there is a VERY good chance that Miguel gets embarrassed by a more fluid athlete with greater technical skills and superior ring intelligence.

I expect/hope a reasonably competitive fight. But I will not be surprised at all by an embarrassing blowout.

Cotto has good timing, and that in itself can render the fight competitive.

JMM caught Floyd a few times with good timing, he just didn't have any pop at that weight.

At 154lbs, if Cotto catches Floyd flush with a left hook, that can change things a bit.

But his timing better on the ****in money come Saturday, otherwise its a white wash.

Not necessarily because your argument assumes he fights the same people if he styas at TR. SO if you put Marg on it, does he necessarily fight ODH, JMM, Hatton and Mosley?

The only thing we know that would be different is there wouldn't be any ducking talk from TR.

Tell me about it! I've been useless and unproductive all week.

I left work early to go home to watch fighters walking into a hotel.

What the hell is wrong with us?

The loss to daniel santos (154) didn't exactly make Margs a worldbeater. But Baldomir was a bum.
