this is my two most favourite fighters today....i've been waiting for this fight for 4 years...and now this fight happens, despite that cotto is no more undefeated but he is still good and he redeemed himself after victory over Margarito...i think it will be a great fight because cotto always come to fight and floyd knows it....he will pursue floyd to fight so we would see a great fight i think......let the best win the fight....in this fight i have no priority to neither of them two of them is my favourites

IMO Collazo beats the lights out of Hatton when they fought at 147, but Hatton got the decision, Collazo had a very awkward style that will make anyone look bad. Thats why Mayweather picked him to fight him at 147 cause he saw Hatton was very vulnerable at that weight, Hatton's Explosiveness didn't quite carry over from 140 to 147...

In my opinion you should direct the underlined words unto yourself!

It doesn't matter that Hatton weighed 153 .... It's different trying to fight a 140 fighter and a 147 division fighter. Hatton was used to doing his thing against 140lbs fighters .... and wasn't so good at doing that against 147lbs fighters. Hatton realized this but that is not enough to convince you either, I guess.

Here is my question: If Ortiz comes in on fight night at 165+, does that mean he will be OK fighting someone at 168 who doesn't gain anything between weigh-in and fight night? Using your logic, they are both equal fighters in your eyes, I presume?

Yours is one of the most ridicules posts Ive seen here , your telling me it doesnt matter that Hatton fought the guy weighing exactly the same as was Hatton in all his JWW fights , that neither had to dry out and in actual fact they were both JWs fighting for a WW title .

Hattons team said prior the fight Ricky was bigger thats why they picked Floyd at 147 because Floyd he is not a true WW and is a little guy , thats their own words .

You live in fantasy land kid , they could have been fighting for a HW title it doesnt change the fact that they weighed a pound apart on fight night and it was the very same fight night weight that Hatton has ALWAYS been in all his biggest wins ,,,, his trainer said they will never fight as heavy as he was fighting Collazo which was 160 and he didnt , he fought Floyd at his best JWW fighting weight .153 and Floyd was 152 , is what it is no matter what BS spin you put on it .

                    Spoon .... you said it.

This guy thinks just because a guy weighs in at a certain weight that he can actually perform better than where he has been for his entire career. Now, if Hatton consistently won at WW for a period of time, I would say, well, you have the proof to back your statement up but Hatton looked average in his 1 fight at WW. Hatton realized that and went back down to 140 for several fights until Floyd wanted to pick on a 140lbs .... Naturally Hatton said yes as it was a great opportunity.

Hatton couldn't do to WW what he was able to do to 140lbs fighters.
