Man gamboa is a beast but they treat him like a prospect mayweather's fighter jesse vargas is a prospect and get paid around 100,000 a fight but gamboa is like 30 or something and for his biggest fight he 's gonna walk away with around 200,000 man stfu. if anything mayweather overpays his fighters you never hear none of his fighters go oh mayweather is robbing me they are happy with what they are getting paid. That's why fighters are going to him. Floyd knows what they are going through cause he's a fighter. If that was suppose to be gamboas biggest payday and he was gonna end up with around 200,000 then imagine the little bit he was getting before then and he doesn't have that many fights i don't know how he was making it trust me gamboa made the right move and even if he is out for 2 years i bet mayweather probably gave him a million or 2 while he's not fighting and did you see gamboa pull up in that white bentley what is that worth 300,000 gamboa doesn't have that type of money mayweather brought it for him, mayweather takes care of his fighters.

Top Rank doesn't get any cut from the 1.2mil. So that 27.5 yes that 27.5 Arum wouldn't get. It's not a PPV fight. Arum cut comes from HBO payout not the 1.2mil. So Gamboa keeps that 1.2mil. Same thing for the other promoter(oner) Now after taxes(something he would have to pay no matter who the promoter is) would leave him with a little bit over 675k give or take a couple thousand dollars. The only people who would get a cut from that would be a trainer, cutman(flat fee?) sparring partners(flat fee per day), a strength and conditioning coach(if hired one) and a manager/adviser(if having one).
After it's all said and done he would leave with well over half a mil for someone who doesn't have a big fan base and doesn't bring great ratings. It's a pretty good deal. And, that would be the deal no matter who he promoter is.

When it was all said and done, he still was going to see the most money he had seen in his career and get damn good money for a fighter who doesn't bring a lot of fans nor ratings. Fighters who bring the fans and the ratings that Gamboa does don't see half of what he was going to get no matter who the promoter is. And, worse yet is a fight that he asked for. No one was forcing him to call out a LW. And, if he would have won was in line for a Pac or JMM fight or even a Bradley fight. Another HBO high paying fight. What was the issue again?

Since guys like Arum aren't in the habit of giving away free money, my first guess is that it's because Gamboa is expected to be a big star.
what I do know is Brandon was set to make less than what he originally was told, in order to make the fight happen
