  • George Foreman and Bernard Hopkins training methods (if anybody's interested?)

Foreman would apparently work on the heavybag for 35-45 mins straight, followed by 10 mins of line jumping. That was his 'base' workout, monday to friday.
Then over the weekend he'd work on tactics with sparring partners. He did calisthenics every day of the week, and didn't do roadwork!

Hopkins trains 365 days a year, he has a 30-inch waist 365 days a year and hasn't touched alcohol since 1982. It really is no wonder that he's still going strong at 40. He goes to bed at 8pm and gets up at 4am for roadwork. He's sick, his daily routine is heavy neck weight harness, heavybag, speedbag, medicine ball, swiss ball and 12 rounds of jump rope, then when a fight is coming up he's at the gym later in the day too working on tactics. He diets like an animal.

It would be interesting to see how Foreman trained in his comeback as opposed to the 70's version.

Good stuff JuyJuy. Where did you find this info.? Man, George looked in incredible shape at his peak. Doesn't seem that he would with a fairly minimal workout (comparitive to others). Just goes to show. He was built to ****.
