Originally posted by Edubbs216No it's not besides the point clown....My point is Manny Pacquioa's biggest purse is being laid out on the table by Floyd Mayweather (40 million dollars), if Manny can go make more money for 36 minutes of work fighting someone else (Which he CANNOT), then let him go and do so.....
Floyd is going to exceed that regardless of who he fights based on the fact that he gets paid as the prize fighter as well as the promoter.....
Manny's problem is that he wants Floyd money but he cant get no where close to what Floyd is paying em fighting anybody else where Floyd being the more saavier guy, is going to get paid more than that regardless.....
It's a known fact Pacquioa is going broke and getting ****** dry by his promoter and his entourage so is it in his best interest to take the best deal on the table or continue to do the same amount of work to make less based on his false sense of pride???
Floyd holds the best cards based on the fact that he's getting paid more as a prize fighter than Pacquioa does, and on top of that he's getting paid off the frickin T-shirts and hot dogs.....so from a business standpoint, they both make more money fighting eachother (even though Floyd still gets paid more in this scenario), but Floyd gets paid more regardless of whether it's Manny or not so Floyd is in a better position to dictate the terms.....This is business! Pacquioa can either keep running out of options or take the deal that's on the table....
Let's not forget that months ago Pacquioa was quoted as saying that he'll take less money to fight Floyd and that's because he knows that Floyd has the upper hand, and also that he needs that money because financially he's a disaster and the people around him are "raping" his bank account.
Eventually Pacquioa will have to take the fight if he wants to earn an amount as high as 40 million because he CANNOT get that anywhere else and Floyd gets paid more than that for every one of his fights dating all the way back to De La Hoya because he's put himself in a better position. You can't knock him for that can you?? Well, not if you're thinking like a businessman.
If I'm kffering you 40 million for a fight and I know that you HAVE NOT, CANNOT, AND WILL NOT, get that anywhere else then based on what do you deserve more?? False pride?? Ok well then keep putting in the same amount of work to make less.
Let me break this down for you: I will do it so it's easy to understand.
This is a 50/50 fight. ****ing period. If you think Manny should take 40 million of a potentially 150 million dollar PPV money pool, you are about as ****** as Mayweather himself.
Stop and see the light. It's just another way for Mayweather to not fight. He's even admitted this. Just accept it man. Stop taking up for a jerk like Floyd.
3.0 million buys @ $65.00 = $195 million. And the fight could do more buys than that.
40 million is a ****in insult.

Pac's resume is far superior to Floyd's. I don't think that's even debatable. So if you think Pac's is inflated, then Floyds is worse in that aspect.

Funny how everybody was saying this is a 50/50 fight only a few months ago.
Then cult leader Floyd announces it not 50/50 anymore and he deserves 100% of the PPV money, and the blind followers believe this now and completely forget about if Pacquiao takes the test the fight happens line.
It is shocking how gullible these people are.
If Floyd said the moon was made out of cheese theses guys would believe that too.

As all fighters can do, Pacquiao can insist on facing one guy and it will be done. If that's Mayweather, it will be done.
Are you this naive or really that blinded by Floyd's mouth?Last edited by Mr. Invincible; 05-01-2012, 04:04 PM.

"LAS VEGAS — On Saturday night, Floyd Mayweather Jr. will make tens of millions of dollars for an hour’s worth of work, if that. He will be paid for what happens inside the ring and outside it, paid far more than any other boxer fighting today"
This is why Pacquioa has to accept the 40 million dollars, simply because he CANNOT get that same amount of money anywhere else for 36 minutes of boxing and simp,y because as the article states, Floyd is juggernaut of boxing when it comes to making money regardless of opponent.
