That's because he wasn't running the show back then only there as an expert. They need the same kind of format as in the old days on Setanta with someone like Andy Kerr hosting and Buncey there to give his opinion.
That way I feel the flow of the show would be much more professional rather than every time Buncey runs out of 5hit to say he tells the viewers a "true story" of when he used to work in ***in kebab shop lol.
I swear sometimes I think he's stashed a bottle of cider under the table with the amount of irrelevant 5hit he goes on about lol.Comment

That's one of my issues with it.
I agree with what your saying there. If someone like me, an avid boxing fan is put of by the presentation how on earth how on earth do they expect to reach 100k subs in a niche sport/market. It's incredible ******. Like you said Setanta failed and they were more polished and had the benefit of showing multiple sports and having pretty big nation wide exposure in comparison. On last week's Ringside they showed some footage courtesy of Boxnation of the Bellew/Cleverly fight in crystal clear HD so that to me suggests they have been filming in HD with the intention of launching the service soon.
I read somewhere they need around 100k subs just to break even, Setanta couldn't manage to get 200k subs to break even so ended up going bust. Hope the same thing doesn't happen here otherwise most of the cards from overseas will be back on Primetime for £15 a pop because Sky wouldn't be showing 5hit.
It's true their coverage is unprofessional, I thought with Richard Keys joining the team things will get better but I guess not. TBH I don’t really listen to a thing they say some people actually like Buncey's style from the old days at least he knows boxing. But they could try smartening things up a bit.
Even with all their problems I still feel we're getting a decent service for the price and this will only improve since they've only been on air since last December. I mean the Yanks have to pay around $70 just to watch the Mayweather card this week so we’re lucky in that regard.
Exactly what is needed. I appreciate his boxing knowledge but from a viewers perspective, you can't let this dude run the show. That's because he wasn't running the show back then only there as an expert. The more I've thought about it today however I'm considering signing up regardless. If a fiend like me don't watch it, what chance have they got? The point about having to pay £15 for single PPV is very valid and thinking about the problems I've had with Primetime in the past, maybe I could excuse the presentation after all....Comment

TBH I Sky+ the late fights I don't wanna stay up for that way I can just fast forward the bull5hit or if I'm watching live just switch between channels till the fights come on.That's one of my issues with it.

Another problem with the commercial fans is that Sky is way to expensive for ordinary people to pay an extra tenner a month. I mean I'm paying over £70 a month for Sky world HD with Boxnation, and I'm not even subscribed to ESPN. Sky really take the p1ss.Comment

Exposure is what boxing needs. A handful of subscribers and production that that verges on laughable. The idea is great but it falls short in so many ways. No HD either. Having to listen to the overly aggressive Steve Bunce verbally **** guests is not easy watch either....Yeh they have had they will launch HD in 2012 on the website since launch. We're now almost in May.....Watching something recorded in SD blown up on a 60 inch samsung is ****ing nasty. It's not 1995. To even launch a new subscription channel (especially sports) in SD with rancid production is not going to do anything to attract a casual fan.
Boxnations website suggest they have been filming in HD so why has it not been launched? I cant find a definite number of boxnation subscribers but it has been suggested they will have meet 100k within a couple of years. (that may be off the mark) The fact they ditched the minimum tie in period recently really suggests they are struggling to me.
I do appreciated their effort and believe the price is would be more than reasonable if the overall package was more polished. Clean up the production (it sometimes can be so poor I wonder if 1 man and his sony handycam are doing the filming) get HD launched, have the ability to watch online, update their website more often and get Steve Bunce to take a couple of Valium before getting in front of the camera or even better replace him with someone with an ounce of professionalism.
I'd pay £15-£20 if I had all of the above but it's Frank Warren we are talking about. He's not going to speculate to accumulate on such a large scale which makes me think it's destined to fail. After all my moaning....TBH I Sky+ the late fights I don't wanna stay up for that way I can just fast forward the bull5hit or if I'm watching live just switch between channels till the fights come on.

I went to check the boxnation schedule and noticed as well as Cotto Mayweather, Alvarez Mosley they're also showing Huck Afolabi. I've got my thumb/arm in plaster and feeling sorry for myself and it's a feast of boxing tomorrow, it was too much to miss. The Afolabi fight tipped it though. I'm liking Ola allot right now, he's normally good too watch, much improved since the 1st fight. Pumped for tomorrow now.
Damm I love Boxnation lol
However.. total TV/Net bill for the month £97.

Well Cleverly said Bellew had to work his way up and Bellew has said what he feels. Whether Frank promotes Bellew or not, Bellew has a choice on who he fights and what channel. Frank will push it and say Bellew is crazy but Bellew has a point, why fight on a channel where you have 20 k viewers when Sky will make you a bigger name...Comment
