I've actually been in the ring more than you partner, and if you thought all that holding and rough, dirty tactics was skill, then you dont know shhitt about boxing or you are just too dumb to tell the difference. Fight had no skill in it what so ever.

Fine different strokes. Some of us fans actually enjoy watching two skilled fighters who are smart enough to pick off haymakers and use counter punching as their primary tactic.

Too many idiots bought the HBO sale job. HOPS won easy. Dawson never landed. Watched the fight slo mo and counted every punch. BHOP outlanded almost every round. You guys giving credit when Dawson missed. Don't know what your looking at.

THANK YOU, I have been hesitant to post this myself and have been wondering how close most people really watch some of these boxing matches, dawson landed some decent lefts mid fight but not much else, I had already accepted this might happen during the fight itself and it did as hbo got biased as all hell or just were not watching that closely them self's

I've been watching Hopkins long enough to know that this was his plan all along. He figured he'd get out of the first fight because Dawson was hitting him too cleanly and he didn't have enough survival tactics, plus he'd figure he could get 2 pay days out of it. Call me crazy, but i don't think he came to win last night. I think he wanted to be sneaky, do his usual rough/slick stuff just to make the fight close and then cry robbery after the fight. Hes a smart man, i give him that.

I'm very happy I didn't pay to watch that ........fight? This fight is why boxing is in the state its in. The fights are not confrontational, no one fighter is trying to win they both want to survive and get another pay day because trying to win isn't in their make up anymore. You don't see fighters today being exhausted after the fights hell they can box 20 rounds like that, Garbage!! Scully is begging that kid to move his hands, not give him direction but "please throw some punches"!!! I'm tired of Hopkins getting credit for being 47 or what ever he is. He Doesn't Come to WIN!!! This IS why boxing sucks now these guys don't have any will or desire to be the best they can be its survival mode. This kid Dawson is out of my gym in New Haven that was taken over by Brian Clarke and he was developed by Clarke and I can tell you that Clarke would have hit him in the head with a 2x4 if he fought like that wearing a Ring One color. Damn shame these guys bring nothing to a fight and a title fight??? Ridiculous!!! Not one corner gave any direction on what to do they both begged their fighters to throw punches.
