i had it 10 rounds to 2 for dawson. bernard should never ever headline a ppv card or boxing main event televised on hbo or showtime. His fights should he continue should now be used to augment a card, not headline. His fight antics continually hurt the sports standing with the mainstream fans.

remember his two fights against pascal were fun fights to watch and did great ratings on both showtime and hbo. If the ratings are good, he will headline. Further, you have to understand styles make fights. You put hopkins in the ring with someone like pascal, it's going to be fun. Dawson though, we all knew this was going to be an ugly fight but it was a necessary fight. fans should understand this by now.

same goes for other defensive fighters and counter punchers. For example Rigondeaux vs Moleno would be a terrible fight to watch as far as entertainment goes. But if you put in Rigondeaux vs an offensive fighter, it will be fun.

Look I ride with hopkins hometown but to say he was robbed...NO chad didn't look really good that night but who looks good against bernard he's hard to fight chad did enough to win he did what he could do not much but it was enough and he gave bernard his props after the fight although I didn't like him sayin bernard fought dirty cause that headbutt wasn't intentional but all in all chad did enough.

Was there a round Hopkins outlanded Dawson? Hopkins can claim robbery all he wants. He didn't do nearly enough to win, while Dawson did. It's that simple.

As much as I loved the Pavlik schooling and a few moments against Pascal I'll be quite glad if he retires, his style can be ugly as hell most of the time.

I had it a draw. Dawson won his rounds more clear-cut than Hopkins did but Dawson never really forced the fight and Bernard seemed to me to land a lot of punches that the commentators were ignoring. Where as everytime that Dawson let his hands go, they were going crazy like he was doing a lot more than he really was. It was a close fight that was difficult to score. Those who say Dawson won clearly were seeing what they wanted to see, rather than what was really happening in there and I think that Bernard deserves a rematch.

People say the fight was boring because Bernard neutrilized Dawson for most of the fight. Bhop landed the better shots..not harder but better. Not many of Dawson's punches actually seemed to really land tbh.

When the fight was going on I knew they were retiring hop via commentary but I didn't hear HBO's commentary it was another and from what I here HBO did the same. When Hop landed solid they said nothing, when Dawson swiped the side of Hopkins head they went nutz.

What I find most amazing about your comment was the fact that you actually watched that boring a$$ snooze fest in slo mo. It was pretty awful to watch in real time so I feel for you. Because I simply can't imagine how painful that must have been for you.
