i know chad did not win. i actually had Hopkins winning by 1 point. i could easily see it a draw though, what ever happend with "to be the champ u must BEAT the champ?"

if you listen to Chad's comments in the post-fight interview. he just praises Hopkins. "he fought a hell of a fight, hes a warrior" (he did say he is a dirty fighter too, but everyone knows this). Hopkins said before "all fights are dirty"

Chad clearly thought the fight was closer than you guys on here, you could tell from his comments. if he thought he dominated, he would have said so he has no problem with being arrogant and ****y if he thinks he whooped Bernards ass, but he knows it was an even fight.

anyway, who cares really. it was a boring ****ty fight. Hopkins should either retire or fight someone less of a technical boxer (like pascal was) who he can school or maybe try a move to crusier like someone else said, that division is weak. I actually wouldnt mind seeing him fight tarver again, or Kayode if he beats tarver

Just admit Hopkins lost convincingly even though Dawson had two cuts in his eyes from all the head-butting. The second cut from a punch but I bet all the head-butting softened his eye. At least Dawson doesn't need to hold when he's throwing a combination. Now if Dawson't didn't have to worry about the cuts, maybe Dawson would have had a higher punch-out, even though I scored rounds 10 & 11 for Dawson. And lol at your previous comment that Dawson wasn't aggressive enough. Dawson was aggressive as he can be.

Hopkins wasn't landing ****, maybe a couple right hands here and there, but nothing significant. Because of all the clinching, neither fighter could really mount an offense, but I bet all the clinching backfired against Hopkins when it come to the judges.

What is with fans trying to create a controversy where they don't exist? The only controversy with this fight is how one judge scored the fight even. And I knew it would not be long before Calzaghe was dragged back up. And the only controversy in that fight was the fact that it was not scored a unanimous decision for Joe, as it should have been.

Yet Steward also said that Dawson was clearly winning the fight, and I think Steward said that Hopkins needed a knock out to win. And Stewart often praised Dawson as the superior boxer.

I would of like to see Dawson use the straight left more, but he is a right-handed southpaw and Hopkins recognized that which is why he used footwork to force Dawson to use his left hand more. None the less Dawson landed the more telling punches, did less clinching, which is why he got nod.

- Hopkins is boxing. There is no other boxer who knows more about boxing than him. He is the most deliberate, and methodical fighter. No boxer in the history of the sport has been able to do so much with such limited physical gifts and talent. He is the embodiment of a true champion. When he said "what did Chad do to win the fight?" he summed it up. chad didn't do **** to beat him, Bernard didnt do much more but the fact that he is the champ + he is a ****ing legend + he is 47 years old = should not have lost that fight
