That's just an idiotic statement. B-Hop will not tarnish his legacy with 1 fight.

Despite being great into his his 40's which boosts his legacy his recent fights are also tarnishing his legacy.

The younger fans who didn't see his prime are going to remember him for holding every 5 seconds, going down off rabbit punches, faking low blows and flopping around the ring. Along with good things also, but, the fact is the new fans will remember these antics. Thus, it's tarnishing his legacy.

Hopkins did these things in his prime somewhat but no where near to this degree. The new guys will remember that as if his career was based off it.

Just how it is. Roy Jones is in a similar but different position with his chin.

Bhop lost and Dawson should change his name from "Bad" to "Boring" Chad because he wasn't exactly on fire last night. Matter of fact the only thing that almost caught on fire during the fight was my couch. And that was from me repeatedly dozing off while trying to watch that absolute bore fest of a fight with a lit cigar in my mouth. And as far as Bhop is concerned he should retire and Chad should try fighting someone who is not eligible for enrollment in AARP and who also doesn't supplement their income by boxing while getting a monthly Social Security check.

just rewatched round 7 to see if you knew what you were talking about buuut nope.

the one at 1:59 was a good shot, 1:56 and 1:46 were caught on the gloves, can tell by the sound and no head snap back. the last punch of the round i remembered that one, lol that might have been his best landed punch and it was just a little short left arm punch but right on the button.

here is how i see it. neither landed enough to say "he beat him down" or "he clearly won the fight". Dawson was walking towards him for most of the fight, although there were times when this changed. hopkins was actually landing more clean punches even though they were almost all lunging in followed by a clinch and punch and grab tactics.

so since Hopkins was champ and 47 and fact that this big strong kid couldnt do **** to him...Hopkins should have won or got a draw. hell at least he cut Dawson with a jab...only damaging punch of the fight lol

thats what his old ass get, he was too busy playing around while he was losing the fight. Nazeem should have told him he was losing cuz he saw wat everybody else saw. don't get me wrong Hopkins is a good defensive fighter. but his offense is ****! in the 10th i think Chad almost knocked him out, then he tackled Dawson before he could finish the job. and that referee was ****ing horrible! he was too involved, nuff said.

i like that idea. he shouldn't retire on a bull**** loss like that. i mean, cmon that's not a loss. do you agree that Dawson was almost entirely ineffective too? (just like Calslappy was). i hate the whole "oh but he outworked him" argument. who cares, the most entertaining parts of the fight are when Hopkins was clowning on Chad with his facial expressions and little taunting antics.
