Honestly, I was wondering where all the power is at. I, also, kept screaming for him to throw the uppercut. There just was no work off the jab and, ironically, that earlier knock down was off two short jabs that both missed.

There are tons of fighters who had a first loss that turned to two and two losses that turned to three. So things still can't be called for certain but it helps that he's in such a weak division. From the american viewpoint, you have Dawson, Pascal and Cloud after tomorrow night and Pascal and Cloud are going to knock one or the other off for a while.

I'm actually surprised that no one said anything about trouble making weight. He had just about all the symptoms, including decreased recovery. Everything about his frame seemed shaky even after the fight ended and he hadn't taken much damage in the fight.

he seemed shaky bcse he got punched in the head for a minute straight that would screw anybodies doom up
he did however look less than impressive the whole fight might have been overlooking

ppl shouldnt be so high on him. he has an obvious ceiling. having a bad chin in the higher weight classes, esp when u dont got power is pretty much a death sentence. this is one thing that has almost always been the case. the two just dont mix. and sillakah seems to have a bad chin from everything ive seen/heard.

Think you may be talking about me? I brought up Atlas's comment about him being stopped many times in the Amateurs and said that was false, which it was as we established in our discussion. Once as a 14 year old at Featherweight and once in 2006 in Baku by Beterbiev.

Perhaps Syllakh could start roiding again in hopes of improving his chin?

Boxing fans like the dude who started this thread is what ruins the sport, great fighters have lost it doesn't define a fighter, yes he needs to know how to grab and finish guys off but to say he wasn't beating the other dude and making him look outclassed before he got caught is crazy. He has talent and I think he will make some noise he just doesn't have much resistance.. Guys act like people need to be undefeated to be good...I bet money when Alvarez finally lose people will act like the dude got no talent too even tho he does

                  ye. it was you,
                  i remember your avatar pictures.

he was stopped three times in the amateurs from what i saw. i have not seen his complete amateur record.
if atlas was talking about him like a stiff wind would knock him out of these tournaments then he'd be wrong. he won many of them.

but, as i suspected, his chin is not spectacular.

12-0 pro boxing record derailing 3 undefeated fighters, 2 being highly regarded prospects.

He sure isn't no bum. He also had a short but successful MMA career. The guy is nails as proven by scraping himself off the canvas after being hit with a peach of a shot getting outboxed to hell for 8 rounds & pulling off a stunning upset.

                    It happens!

I remember you saying he has a china chin or something along those lines during the argument.

I actually like Ismayl but he got sparked. Big rebuilding process now.
