Neither would even be near my top ten.

Ali actually has one of the best ever, so does Sugar Ray Robinson. Harry Greb too.
          Recent names: ODLH, Mosley, Holyfield??

          Some alternative votes go to:

          Ezzard Charles
          Sam Langford
          Tony Canzoneri

If we're just naming fighters who fought the best but didn't win, we'd have to name guys like Augustus, Judah, Ruiz, guys like that.

              Ali or Leonard

They got to live among other greats and fought them all. If Leonard had fought and defeated Aaron Pryor I would give the edge to Leonard. As it is, I give the edge to Ali.

If we are doing that, we could add Sammy Sparkman and Marcus Rhode.

                Look at their resumes.

                They fought all.

But of course got beat up.

Leonard facing Hagler after a three year lay off is the ultimate in bad-assery.

                      Sugar Ray Robinson:

                      Lamotta
                      Armstrong
                      Fullmer
                      Graziano
                      Turpin

All hall of famers. I think he beat 10 but i can't remember the rest off top.

                      Ali:

                      Liston
                      Patterson
                      Frazier
                      Foreman
