Manny probably has better resume. Fought more ATGs in his/their primes.

His only win over an ATG though that was absolute prime was Barrera. Morales himself admitted after the Raheem and Pacquiao losses that he didn't think he had it anymore. Sorry, I don't consider Erik Morales prime in 2006 after being beaten by Zahir Raheem. He was past his prime-still good, and Marquez wasn't prime in 2008 either.

It's close, both are around the Top 30 or so GOAT. How they finished their careers will seperate them. More important than who is when, and what the fighter had done in the couple bouts leading up to their fight. Pac has a lot of good wins, but a ton of wins where the guy was coming off a loss in his previous fight or two. Ricky Hatton bounced back after getting TKO'd by Floyd and had solid wins over Lazcano and Malignaggi, I don't consider him coming off a loss. But look at the fighters he's fought, a lot were coming off losses. More important than who is when.

If Pac beats Bradley and Floyd, and than gets a win over someone like Mike Jones (if he beats a Top WW first), he'd enter the Top 20 no doubt to me. At the same time, if Floyd beats Sergio or Pac, along with Cotto-Canelo-Khan-etc, he'd enter the Top 20 as well.

We can't say Floyd avoided so and so, without bringing up Pac not fighting certain people as well. Everyone says Floyd didn't end up fighting Tszyu, Margarito, Williams. But Pac didn't end up fighting Raheem, Soto, Guzman, Berto, or Casamayor when he very easily could have and should have. At least Floyd got the people who beat those guys (other than Paul Williams, unless he fights Sergio someday) in Mosley and Hatton. Pac could have easily fought Zahir Raheem, Joan Guzman or Humberto Soto at 130 instead of a Barrera rematch, Larios (worthless at that point), or Velazquez (not a Top 10 SFW at all). And he easilyc ould have fought Joel Casamayor at 135 instead of David Diaz, the weakest champion at 135 at the time. Nate Campbell would have been a better fight at 135 in Mid-2008 than David Diaz. And he should have and could have fought Andre Berto, coming off his wins over Collazo and Hernandez and being the #3 ranked WW behind Floyd-Manny, instead of Mosley which was worthless at the time. It goes both ways, and Pac isn't that far ahead like people are saying when you take into account who and when, and what they'd prior to fighting them.

Floyd could have fought Margarito in 2005-2006 instead of Sharmba Mitchell and Zab Judah, and should have. That's the one fighter who Floyd supposedly "avoided" where I think he cound a way around it. Maybe it was because he knew he was going to fight Oscar in May 2007, I don't know. We'd have to ask him. Floyd was suppose to fight the Tszyu-Hatton winner, given he beat the #2 JWW Arturo Gatti in June 2005. Tszyu lost to Hatton, who Floyd tried to fight at 140 but Hatton and him camp said no. Floyd fought Hatton when he was #8 P4P and unbeaten anyway in 2007.

Both are close, around the Top 30.

          Agreed.

          Junior Jones >>> Mayweather aswell.

After all, his best win is Prime Barrera whereas Mayweather's is Corrales.

Ehhhh. He beat him H2H 2 of 3, and Corrales didn't have that much left after the Castillo fights at all.

Casamayor beat Baek (WBA SFW champ/#3 ranked SFW), Santos, Garcia, Corrales (WBC/RING LW champ), Campbell, and Katsidis (Top 10 LW).

Corrales beat Garcia (Top 10 SFW), Manfredy, Gainer (Top 10 SFW), Casamayor (#1 ranked SFW), Freitas (WBO LW champ/Top 5 LW), and Castillo (WBC/RING LW champ.

Corrales was also P4P at one point, i don't think Casamayor ever was in the Top 10 P4P.

Corrales > Casamayor in terms of career and resume.

You don't know **** about boxing!!!

I don't understand how people can say that Manny's resume is better. He fought guys when they were on the downside or have just suffered a major setback. Pacquiao fought 1 too many trilogy fights. Morales was washed up during the last 2 fights of their trilogy. Floyd clearly has the better resume and anyone who disagrees doesn't know **** about boxing.

Pacquiao has the better resume on paper, I don't see how anybody could argue otherwise. Just compare their 3 best wins : Morales, Barrera, and Marquez > Castillo, Corrales, and Hatton.

Talent wise is a whole different ballpark though. One in which Mayweather leads the field by a vast margin.

You can nitpick any fighter's resume and say the same bull**** about whoever it is you happen to want to discredit.

Weren't you just in another thread pissing and moaning about Floyd never getting any credit because Mosley was "too old", or Marquez was "too small"? Yet here you are in this thread engaging in the same ****ing behavior you stamped around in self-righteous indignation against when it was used to discredit "your guy"?

                      You're a fanboy. That's it.
