I think you're combining the negotiations and correct me if I'm wrong. The first negotiation Floyd said 14 days from the fight and we have a 50/50 deal, BOB ARUM countered with 24 days. the deal falls apart. Fast forward til now, Floyd Says let's fight on May 5 th and BOB ARUM starts coming up with all kinds of excuses and correct me if I'm wrong but Bob Arum is The biggest road block to this fight not happening. Here's the proof, Cotto and Mayweather were both promoted by Arum and as soon as Cotto is no longer under TR, the fight gets made and Cotto gets the biggest pay day of his career with no problems, quick and easy.

Back to May 5 th....Arum starts his tirade of excuses, Joe Jackson, new stadium needs to be built, foreign investors, the cut that needs 6 months to heal, etc....

1) YOU SAID :Floyd said 14 days from the fight and we have a 50/50 deal
Manny's team countered with 24 days and we have a 50/50 deal

RESPONSE: So Floyd went backwards on this 14 days while Manny went all the way and accepted Floyd's demand.

RESPONSE: You may not know this but Arum always wanted to have this mega fight in a bigger stadium. Even back in late 2009, Arum said they would be building a stadium. If you can accept Floyd asking for ALL PPV MONEY then what Arum wanted was the same as Floyd .... but Arum then said, "OK May 5th but Floyd gets his own guarantees."

People must be having fun saying the same things over and over again. They never seem to get tired. Floyd fans insist that their idol should get more than 50. Which clearly means the fight will remain dead. Which also means they don't care whether the fight happens or not. So one thing is sure to happen now. Floyd will never budge. His fans wouldn't let him as seen by their responses in this thread.

JMM4 is now certain to happen. Floyd will respond by taking on Alvarez. GBP and Arum will be ecstatic.

floyd was doing all the compromising in the 1st negotiations yet team pac still walked away to go fight clottey instead.so a couple years go by and pacquiao loses to marquez in the eyes of many and now doesn't look invincible so now he feels like compromising

mayweather is a 40 mil fighter where as pac is a 6-10 mil fighter, and recently a 12 mil for bradley.

Pac could accept 500k for this fight then Floyd would demand that he wear thumbless gloves and roller skates or no fight. You, of course, would find this perfectly reasonable.

His big mistake was saying he would take less to make the fight. I agree. Then his other mistake, which was more costly, was losing to Marquez.
