  • not saying the first Castillo fight wasn't competitive (it was), but Mayweather seemed to have a tougher time with Emanuel, watching both fights. He look genuinely flustered, he was even bloodied up by the nose. (i don't think i've ever seen Floyd bloodied outside of that fight)

It might've been cuz Floyd did a good share of running and keeping a distance in the Castillo fight. But he looks like he had a real tough time with emanuel

u know what, man. I've said that a few times too. But i think everything that Emanuel is, is what made him who he was in the ring lol.

I think of what Emanuel Steward tried doing with Prince Hamed, and i cringe.

Augustus got in front of Mayweather and made him trade. No other fighter has managed to do this. What Augustus has, which many fighters don't, is a lack of fear (arguably a disregard for his health). He'll happily trade blow for blow if he thinks it is entertaining. Every time Mayweather threw, Augustus threw. And Augustus does what other fighters always "claim" they'll do - hit the shoulders and arms and take the head or body only if it is available. Other fighters say/think they will do this, but just don't. They don't pound on Floyd's defenses. They aim for the tiny targets he offers so he can avoid the shot and counter. Augustus just put it on him, and made sure that when Floyd did counter, he was coming at him with something. However, to do that, you have to be able to take a punch or hundred. (So I'm not arguing it is a particularly great tactic.)
For a moment there I thought you where talking about margarito. Would of loved to see that when margarito was on top. Would of brought out the best in floyd

After knowing what boxing fans know now, its hard to say if margarito would've had that same fighting style. Its easy to come forward willing to take 3 to land 1 if u know your punching with bricks......its a shame to even mention him in the same sentence as floyd. I don't need proof to know marg was cheating before he got caught, cottos face and sebastian lujin's ear is all the proof I need.....

all night he seems to forget his first loss . If i was a reporter id grill his a s s everytime he tried bringing up that 42 have failed no one can solve my puzzle bs
I'm 100% sure your a mayweather hater. I love watching mayweather, but if I was a reporter it wouldn't make sense to bring up castillo......1. He didn't lose that fight, he just made floyd work without doing a lot of pot shotting. 2. I don't see why so many people are saying he lost the 1st fight, floyd clearly won by 3 rds, then shut him out in the rematch..

                    • Mayweather toughest fight by watching them are the Augustus fight, Carlos Hernandez fight and the Jesus Chavez fights, those fights took something from him, Especially the Augustus and Chavez fight, he took some damage in those two fights because he was forced to trade, The Castillo fights are a bit overrated because he move around a lot in both fights to avoid any damage, And he has also been saying this same thing for years now about the Augustus fight.
