it would be a short fight with one of them being Ko'd within 6 rounds. I give Tito the edge..
prime TRinidad vs Quartey at wElter who wins?

I would have to say that if De La Hoya would've engaged more freely with Tito, he would have knocked Tito out in 6 or 7 rounds. He was absolutely dominating Tito. It was apparent from the first three rounds that Oscar simply had his number. There was no way in hell Trinidad was beating De La Hoya had he fought the correct fight. And Oscar has a much better chin than Tito did. And I'm a Tito fan.Originally posted by bayahad oscar not run the entire fight and fought - then he'd a seen that his words hold no merit. he elected to stand and trade w/ ike. dude - could you imagine had he tried to do that w/ tito - el tipo lo mata coño!

coming from a self proclaimed tito fan - this is border-line heresy. you should be tarred and feathered.Originally posted by asian_sensationI would have to say that if De La Hoya would've engaged more freely with Tito, he would have knocked Tito out in 6 or 7 rounds. honestly, even w/ dlh's propensity of gassing out - i mean i could see that scenario in which ... OH GOD NO! i can't even type it.Comment

Tito's appeal was that he was "perfectly flawed", a big punching exciting fighter who was vulnerable. He wasn't invincible, but he was great. Some fighters (i.e. Hopkins, Wright, De La Hoya) simply had styles that Tito could not overcome.Originally posted by bayacoming from a self proclaimed tito fan - this is border-line heresy. you should be tarred and feathered.

Plus remember that his ONLY 2 losses were at middleweight...He was a beast at 147.Originally posted by asian_sensationTito's appeal was that he was "perfectly flawed", a big punching exciting fighter who was vulnerable. Thats a popular view in the axium of boxing pundits. I don't believe that De La Hoya is the Sugar Ray Leonard he was made out to be, but I really think he had Tito's number. He would have done to Tito what Mayweather did to Gatti. It sucks, I know.Originally posted by borikuaOMFG! LMAO!

It's possible, I suppose, but unlikely. Don't forget, Quartey was more able to connect on a more frequent basis than Trinidad was against De la Hoya.Originally posted by tonytuckerBut I know that the Bazooka is punching harder than Trinidad, because Oscar (who fought both), is on the record as say that Ike hit him harder than anyone in his whole career. Oscar said there words...."Ike hits like he has concrete bricks in his gloves!"
Later brother brologs.Comment
