Boxing is about the next guy, I dont see whats wrong in saying "Why dont you fight this guy next?". Floyd fans get very defensive over this ****, I dont think he ever used the term "ducking", just asked legit questions and Floyd lost his ****.
Wasn't there an interview when Floyd was signed to fight Baldomir where he said why are you fighting Baldomir, why don't you fight Ricky Hatton, who won a title at 147 your weight class??? I could be mistaken. It just seems like Brian Kenny never gives Floyd his props for the stuff he's done in the ring, I don't know.

Not that I know of. There's one where hes about to fight Judah and he asks why he isn't fighting Baldomir who was the champ at 147 or Hatton who was the champ at 140.

He does give him props just like Merchant does but a lotta Mayweather fans are so damn sensitive and defensive that they block it out.

Hatton and his trainer openly said numerous times that they werent ready for mayweather when both Hatton and Mayweather were at 140, so Mayweather moved on to bigger things at 147. You shouldnt be afraid to fight a smaller guy who came from 135 when you are the lineal champion at 140 but that is what happened. They stated they werent ready yet and needed more fights and more experience.

Hatton needed to establish himself to a US audience, he hadn't fought there yet. I don't think he was afraid, he'd always wanted to fight Floyd.

besides ****ing 2006, Shane was at 54.....you know who was fighting at welterwight back then that Floyd didnt fight? thats right, Antonio Margarito...

Floyd is great and all, but seriously, the schedule in which he has fought his biggest fights since 06 is suspect...06 taking Judah instead of getting the Baldomir **** over with from the get go. 07 was a superstar making year, so good on him, but then retiring instead of fighting the guys that were making noise at welter....Marquez at 47....Shane was the man, but lets not pretend he wasnt inactive and has looked like **** ever since...(and in fact has only looked good in a win once in 4 years)
PBF left Arum because arum wouldnt give him high enough guarantees on Cotto and Margarito. He made more fighting DLH that he would fighting Cotto and Margo combined. Then he fought Hatton for another 20+ million. Arum was only willing to give him 8 million dollars each. So 16 million with Arum or 40+ million going solo. Not hard to figure out which choice to make.

^^^This. I had no problem with Hatton fighting others instead. Like Maussa and Collazo, it helped him build himself more in America at least, and helped him get two more solid wins on there. It's just dumb when people say Floyd avoided Hatton at 140, some people really try to say that.

He criticized Floyd for fighting Judah instead of Baldomir, saying Floyd was voiding Baldomir and Hatton. Floyd fought Baldomir later that year, ripped him for that and claimed he was voiding Hatton since Hatton had won a title at 147 now. Floyd fought Hatton was well. Then, scream that Floyd should be fighting Shane Mosley, who Floyd also fought.

                The guy is a moron.

Every time I see him on MLB, I automatically think he's a traitor. Probably not his fault but that's what I feel.

He's really good on MLB network seems to enjoy every minute of it. Love his show Clubhouse Confidential. And after getting to cover Abril-Rios it probably solidified for him that going to MLB network was a good choice.

I thought he did a great job on the Marquez/Rios event. HBO or Showtime should hire him. imo
