just watched tye fields vs mariusz wach

tye didn't do too bad from rounds 3-5. when he actually snapped his jab he would push wach against the ropes & could go to work but he didn't snap it enough & when he pawed with it he got countered. he also throws those big body shots from left field & leaves himself opened to be countered with the right. i like tye but he is nothing more then a C+ level fighter. he should just stay in canada & fight domestic fights & make money but if a nice paycheck comes from going on the road to be an opponent for a contender he always has that option too. he beats the guys he has to beat to get a big fight but he just isn't beyond the firtha, butler, gavern level. he is a solid journeyman fighter who has done pretty well for himself considering he didn't start until he was 24. i'm not sure if wach is going to be a real contender yet. he is big & slow. he doesn't use his jab enough & he is more of a counterpuncher. he reminds me of audley harrison. big, long, decent power but doesn't push the action enough. i want to see him fight a top 10 contender next.he might be able to bypass that though & get a shot at a title.
