He's not getting Donaire anytime soon. He should just start going at Mares.
I wonder what Golden Boy is going to do here.Comment

If Nishioka comes back, he can push the WBC for Mares. If that happens, I'd love that fight and would hope Moreno can stick for one more at 118, face Agbeko, and leave class as THE champ.Comment

Agbeko would be nice. I read an article where Agbeko said that he would be willing to do a Moreno fight. In the same article Agbeko was also talking about moving up to 122. Said he would fight Chemito at 118 or 122.Comment

You do have a point in Moreno equally contributing to this fight not happening as well. It was my understanding that Moreno was having managerial issues and was hoping to jump ship to GBP, so I'm not too sure how much of that lead to those comments.moreno flat out turned down donaire. well, his wife did

However, when the fight was even being mentioned, Nonito was upset because he wanted a money fight against Vazquez/Molitor/Arce, that he was gonna jump ship to gbp.
So no matter how you slice it, the excuse for not wanting to face Moreno was due to the fact he didn't have a big name.Last edited by Khalid X; 04-22-2012, 02:24 PM.Comment

Donaires best beats Morenos best
If Moreno stays at bantum and Mares stays at s.bantum then Agbeko is the biggest name for his resume left before he moves up or defends against some non-descripe fighter the only other fight that's out there that has any appeal would be Yamanaka even though Moreno is better it still is an interesting fight bcse of Yamas height and lengthComment

I'm still waiting to see Moreno/Mares, since these dudes have been walking side by side without looking at each other once.
Nonito's working on his own terms right now. He called for the wv2 fight and got it. He'll call for the Arce fight, and he'll get that.Comment
