Moreno was trying to get his house in order.

That fight was never close to becoming reality no matter what anyone says. Donaire was about to get at odds with Top Rank at the same time it got mentioned.

No one has avoided anyone in the Donaire/Moreno thing. Period.

This is total BS. Like Whitaker (yes, another comparison), Moreno gets accused of not fighting when he's actually moving his hands a lot. He rips to the body and can land that check counter left from just about any position. It's not his problem he beats dudes up while not getting his back, but he's right there in front of guys to engage most of the time. He's just that good right now.
said everything i was gonna say.

He's not getting Donaire anytime soon. He should just start going at Mares.

I wonder what Golden Boy is going to do here.

If Nishioka comes back, he can push the WBC for Mares. If that happens, I'd love that fight and would hope Moreno can stick for one more at 118, face Agbeko, and leave class as THE champ.

Agbeko would be nice. I read an article where Agbeko said that he would be willing to do a Moreno fight. In the same article Agbeko was also talking about moving up to 122. Said he would fight Chemito at 118 or 122.

He may want to try and get his belt back first. Just saying it's a possibility.

You do have a point in Moreno equally contributing to this fight not happening as well. It was my understanding that Moreno was having managerial issues and was hoping to jump ship to GBP, so I'm not too sure how much of that lead to those comments.

However, when the fight was even being mentioned, Nonito was upset because he wanted a money fight against Vazquez/Molitor/Arce, that he was gonna jump ship to gbp.

So no matter how you slice it, the excuse for not wanting to face Moreno was due to the fact he didn't have a big name.

                    Donaires best beats Morenos best

If Moreno stays at bantum and Mares stays at s.bantum then Agbeko is the biggest name for his resume left before he moves up or defends against some non-descripe fighter the only other fight that's out there that has any appeal would be Yamanaka even though Moreno is better it still is an interesting fight bcse of Yamas height and length

I'm still waiting to see Moreno/Mares, since these dudes have been walking side by side without looking at each other once.

Nonito's working on his own terms right now. He called for the wv2 fight and got it. He'll call for the Arce fight, and he'll get that.
