Well I'm just speaking from Sergio's point of view. Chavez doesn't want it, Cotto won't be worth it, Pacquiao seems very unrealistic, and Floyd is at 154. Sergio needs to go for that and nothing else.

Hmm. Interesting. Can't say I didn't call it when everyone was acting like it was good to go. I said this doesn't sound right, because Arum isn't just going to let someone write up a contract and sign it. He needs control.

Can't wait to hear that old scums excuse, as he passes it off as full truth.

Yeah just go after Mayweather now, Just put the pressure on now since he isnt going to get the bigger names, And if Mayweather doesnt come to the table then go after Pirog if he wins his next fight.

                2 things.

1 is that if this is true, I could see Floyd fighting Sergio but just not next. I think he will want one more 154 pound fight, e****ally after going to jail. People sleep on the jail part too much. You dont know how that will affect someone, even if its just 30 days. I think he will want one more fight and then after that he is going to either fight Sergio or Pac. He has to at that point.

2 is dont jump to conclusions about the JCC fight yet. I havent heard anyone really report on this and you would think it would be a huge story with alot of sites ripping Chavez. Even Sergio & Dibella havent said anything yet. Also, havent we seen deadlines past before and have promoters say that they can still negotiate and make fights after the deadline has passed? Im not sold that the fight is dead just yet

Pirog-Geale winner, Quillin, Golovkin, Murray, etc. He also has 154 lb guys that would surely move up to fight him, like Lara and Trout. If he fought those fights, he will have cleaned out MW and beaten 2 154 lb fighters that seem to be very good. And he only fights 2 times a year, those fights would most likely take him into retirement.
Money comes first to fighters, legacy comes after that. Martinez would rather get fights with Mayweather, Chavez, and Cotto and lose them all then what you just suggested.

sorry but i don't believe it until martinez is actually holding a green belt. if anything, sulaiman should just give the chavez/lee winner that bogus diamond belt.
