  • Comments Thread For: Frank Warren on Bruno's Health; Taylor; DeGale; More

I WAS sad to hear last week that Frank Bruno’s mental health problems had resurfaced.

It was nearly 10 years ago Big Frank was detained in hospital under the Mental Health Act after being diagnosed with Bipolar disorder.

His friends said he was recently showing signs of erratic behaviour again — but it is good he went back to hospital voluntarily before being discharged yesterday.

Doctors need 2 get Bruno some meds to ease the bi-polar, and keep him on it as the meds are successful...good luck...

Real shame for Bruno. Seems such a top guy. Really hope he comes through it. True gentlemen and one of the most memorable boxers/sportsmen England has ever produced.

          Good luck Bruno.

I heard from a mate who's been into one of these private hospitals at the same time as Frank that he's been in and out a lot more than the press have picked up on.

I'm glad Frank knows when to go and get help and I hope he one day conquers whatever demons he's got.

hope bruno is alright. i always liked him & found the british boxing press always hard on him. bi-polar is a tough one to handle because you must always be on your meds or at some point you can snap. i know an ironworker with it. he would be at work everyday, put in a solid effort & be fun to work with. he is a good hand as well. then you wouldn't see him for weeks & he's get fired. he has been an apprentice ironworker for over 10 years. it takes no more the 4 to get it nowadays. you can't drink or mix any drugs or else bad things can happen. i'm not sure what frank does but it doesn't sound like he drinks because he's apparently in good shape still. whatever the issue i wish him the best.

Hope he's alright and gets treated. Followed his whole career and supported him.

Was interesting his interview shown on ITV1 last night but that was recorded a few weeks back.
