Comments Thread For: DeGale Ready For Denmark Defense, Hungers For Groves

JAMES DeGALE is “relaxed and comfortable” ahead of the first defence of his European title tonight.

Any thoughts of an easy bout in his own backyard disappeared when Italian promoters won the purse bids for the fight. [Click Here To Read More]

Not sure that I'd agree about him mixing it up too much.

Against Groves I thought he looked uncomfortable having to fight as the aggressor, so if anything that's something for him to focus on rather than avoid, at least against a guy like Sanavia.

first of all, he never "took a step back" he was forced back by defeat and gob.
second, why is he still being trained by this idiot who should be working in a fast food restuarant for amateurs?
third, he would need to be holding a major belt to get georgey groves OR be in mandatory position to fight him yet still......if he won it would still be 2/1 for g.g. so the upper hand would take three straight wins.
face it,(or he needs to)move on and let happen what happens and if it dont.......
lets suppose for a second that this whole thing turns on its head and gg starts the downward turn(not going to happen) and de"fail" picks up a title(a meaningful one) and the saint wants a shot, is de"fail" gonna give him one?
i dont think so, thats where we would see how confident he really is.
i must admit, i do not like this fellah at all but, he does have real good ability that can only get better but, he has definately gotta offload this fast food trainer because he is really s.h.i.t.
and this win over the oompa loompa has moved him along but not up.
if the geezer was a little taller then maybe but, nah.
