Comments Thread For: Trainer Diaz Final Piece To Reinvention of Miguel Cotto

Miguel Cotto is all business when it comes to boxing. He is man of pride on both sides of the ropes. That much is evidenced by the class he exudes during the current promotion for his May 5 title defense against Floyd Mayweather Jr. at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas

With that in mind, it’s clear to see how difficult it was for the Puerto Rican superstar to cope with the first loss of his career. Fortunately, a strong support system was on hand to keep him upright.

It will be a P. Diaz victory. Cotto will be only the tool he'll use to defeat Mayweather. It'll be a huge victory and more than Cotto, Diaz will rise to the rankings as one of the best trainers in boxing today. I mean at the same level or maybe above trainers like Roach. Garcia, Mayweather. Steward and Richardson.

"I'm not here to give you new things. You're a veteran boxer.
I'm just here to take things you put on the side, back in your game"

"You will see the best Miguel Cotto on May 5th"

            sounds like Diaz is reconstructing
            him to the fullest...

            WAR COTTO

Interesting... You got a point. But the truth is that you can't compare Cotto with Mosley. While his performance has decreased in his last fights, Cotto's performance has increased a lot. You can compare their performance on May 5 when both men fight the same night. For the record... I like ****m as professional and admire him a lot. I wonder what he'll do as trainer with Cotto in his hand.

I think people overrate the Margarito rematch, that eye was ****ed before the fight began.
I like Diaz and ****m but the trainer doesn't fight in the square circle.

Diaz was what Cotto needed. Glad to see him back to form. He looked sharp in his dissection of Margarito. Don't think he'll beat Floyd though but it will be a good chess match.
