Yeah I agree. It's a cliche but it's hard to teach an old dog new tricks. In the Margarito bout, I saw Cotto doing things I've never seen before--I also saw flashes of the young Cotto, although that's partially because he was in against a washed up Margarito. Nevertheless, I think Cotto is fighting him at the right time. One thing I don't see people discussing is Cotto's power. I think he's hitting pretty good at this weight and, given the pics I've seen (I know, I know) and his newfound commitment, his power is going to be as sharp as Lennox Lewis' when he fought Tyson. Too bad he's not fighting Tyson.

he better not change his opinion after the fight

Cotto wasn't on the ropes nearly as much as in their first fight and was pushing Margarito back a lot. He also had his best round of the fight in the 9th and in the first fight didn't do anything after the 6th.

Agreed. He isn't any easier to hit in close quarters. And I'm sure punishing Cotto on the inside is exactly what he'll be looking to do. In order to beat Floyd, you gotta know when to exit. Dwelling on the inside will leave you on the receiving side of some serious blows. Cotto will employ an aggressive in and out strategy. I already know what you're gonna say...

Of course. I think it will come sooner than most like to think. In fact, I think it's knocking on his door. I'm not sure what I wrote that made you say that.

Cotto needed the cheato win. He's a better fighter now than her ever was. Even if his physical tools may fade with time, as has Floyd's anyway, he's added a lot to his arsenal now. He used to not even like to clinch. And his new workouts are serious!!! PLD is going to be the ****ing man after May 5th and I'm willing serious $ betting on the underdog. This is one fight where that is a good idea. Of course, that is in MY opinion and not official ******** advice. LOL.
Cotto should thank Manny for the win over Tony..

That eye was a huge target..

Don't change your tune after the fight...like ya'll always do..

How much money did you put down on Cotto?

Take a picture of the ticket and post it so we can laugh at your ass on May 6th.
