I disagree, Meza-Clay is a tough SOB, more experienced, & I don't think he's ever been on the canvas. This young cat Beltran was KO'd by Joksan Hernandez of all people & certainly was on his way to be by Salgado as well the way that fight was going.

CLay is 5'2'', probably a bit past his best, and hasn't beaten anyone either.

At least Beltran is a current contender who was getting a title shot with Salgado.

Broner-Beltran is a decent fight. Broner-Clay or Broner-Sykes is crap.

Difference is Broner has defense and will most likely not get knocked down 73 times in his career.

Thank you. And though Broner tends to clown a little bit in the ring, like he did with Eloy Perez, he doesn't seem to nearly as much as Naseem Hamed. Hamed was good though, he only lost to one of the top fighters in his era. What hurt Naseem was that he retired and quit after only one fight back after losing. Had he gone on, I'm sure he could have more solid wins and made his legacy more than what it is today.

Far better than Sykes or Clay. Beltran is actually a legit/solid title defense, much like his Eloy Perez defense. Hope this happens.
No this is much better. Beltran is a great prospect/contender. He was beating salgado in their fight. Beltran would of beat magdadaleno had they fought. Even in defeat against joksan hernandez I was impressed. That is the first time I saw him he had it all power speed with every punch he was laniding he was hurting hernandez but I left and was shocked when I heard he lost. Would love to see this fight but would be a tough one bc of broners size but make it happen

I agree with you, Beltran is a good fight/solid defense. If he fought Beltran in May and than Escobedo in the summer, that'll be 3 solid defenses in less than 9 months for Broner.
