deffinately would put Calderon on the list. Can't believe he didnt cross my mind earlier. Maybe put in Bhop for RJJ on your list but other than that, Solid list.
Trust me, it crossed my mind. But the whole shoulder thing, and him losing to RJJ..no matter how long ago it was lingers on in my mind. Plus, those few years Roy was good were damn impressive. That's why I can't put Pac on there, because of the Marquez thing...I'm not going to waste 3 spots where they all linger in close to the same divisions when there was others putting in work, especially when one is so tied to the others for completely the wrong reasons...
Trying to range em out a bit.
If it was based off past success who fought in the 2000s, it'd have been something like Shane (uber bias on my part. don't hate. <__<), Ricardo Lopez (I'm almost POSITIVE he fought once or twice in the 2000s..dont feel like looking it up), RJJ, Lennox (same here), then I'd reserve a spot for whoever it is I'm liking at the moment lol
......people really think Pacquiao's 1 of the past decade's best boxers?
dude has been ranked either 1 or 2 on ALL credible P4P lists for dam near have the decade....almost every top dude's reign on top is held under some sort of microscope...Manny's is no different...so I see where you're going....plus there might be a lil' PERSONAL bias in there....your Pac is my Calzaghe

wow.. its quite amusing going through this thread reading how little ppl know about boxing. i mean everyone has a right to an opinion but kelly pavlik or ricky hatton the 5th best boxer from 2000-2010? thats pure comedy.
1. Floyd Mayweather Jr
2. Chris John
3. Juan Manuel Marquez
4. Bernard Hopkins
5. Chad Dawson
Honorable mention: Winky Wright, Lennox Lewis, Wladimir Klitschko, Ivan Calderon, Roy Jones Jr
How in the world do you not have Manny in there and Roy Jones in? Can you explain that to me? I'm dying to hear it.:waving:
Easy because The question was best boxer, and Manny wasn't very good (meaning from when he first came on the scene in June 2001 in his fight with Ledwaba he was all ****er with pretty much just a one-two and absolutely NO DEFENSE) technical wise till around the Diaz fight in 2008. He was only one of the best "boxers" for 2 years of that decade.
Roy Jones Jr. was still superior in 2000 all the way too late 2004 when he lost too Tarver. So that's almost 5 years of the decade for Jones Jr. versus 2 1/2 years of the decade (June 2008-2010) for Pacquiao. Jones makes the top 5 with more time as one of the best "boxers" of that decade then Manny.
