Why do people even care about weight classes in boxing?

I'm not against weight classes. I'm saying when talking about the best fighters, lower weight classes should even be relevant. Again saying Pacquiao is more of an ATG than the Klits is like saying Earl Boykins is more of an ATG than Michael Jordan

Saying Pacquiao is more of an ATG than the Klits in a basketball analogy. Pacquiao would be a Steve Nash. Wladimir and Vitali would be like Chris Kaman and Andrew Bogut.
