Also for the sake of boxing why the *** won't you want the likes of Jr Amir Khan etc the younger stars to suceed? All these older stars will retire soon anyways.

      Jr tko6 over Martinez

Amir Kahn is too busy losing fights in his division... Lets forget about him til he starts doing otherwise and gets back to doing work.

and Jr? It's not that most people HATE him, per se..because he does bring it fight night...but he's just so limited it's insane. His best win is one most people think he lost...lol. That tells you something about his resume. The other thing that DOES bug people, that make them hate him is his blatant sense of entitlement as if he's got his father's resume. That and the banned substances................ and how he seems to be back to the death by the WBC.

Man, the trolls these days don't even try to be logical. :|
Like, Mushahadeen is at least effing hilarious. <__<...

If you're not a funny troll..and aren't even trying to get people to believe there's SOME plausible merit to what you say...why troll? <__<..

      • All championship fights are against good opponents.
Not if your name is Julio Cesar Chavez Jr!

Jr got one good win on his entire resume (Rubio) at age 25

Jr already achieved half of Martinez but is 14 years younger. Jr is a 6'1 freak of nature that will clean out the 160 168 and perhaps light heavyweight. Sergio should be ****ing lucky Jr is giving him this fight to provide for Sergio and his husband.
          Mushahadeen?

Nice comeback, now you don't even have to answer whether or not Chavez is on diuretics. You can just cover it over with a non specific response.

No, it's you that failed to come up with an answer to a post that clearly details why Martinez should be asking for Olympic style testing. Macklin and Barker don't have a checkered history like Chavez, so therefore there isn't probable cause for Martinez to ask for drug testing.

              • Why the hell is Martinez wasting his time with Chavez? He should be looking to secure the Mayweather-Cotto winner next, much bigger payday, does more for his legacy and P4P status. Looks like he is wanting to squeeze in the easy payday vs Jr before looking at Mayweather or Cotto. He's got to decide which fight he wants most, he's not a position to be acting like they'll each fall in his lap. They might both pass him by.

He shouldn't even bother with OSDT demands, all that will do is give Chavez an out. He's been so desperate for the Chavez fight, who is not even a top 5 middleweight, while Chavez's team and the WBC obviously don't want it as Chavez would be destroyed ending the Mexican hype-train.

So why now does Martinez now bring up something which Chavez will not accept (because he doesn't have to), which effectively kills the fight?

Chavez might possibly be on something, most likely a diuretic, and he has been busted before, but like I said it's his way out of the fight and allows him to keep his belt should Martinez demand OSDT. Martinez is that much superior to Jr that it won't matter what Jr is on. Martinez should stop acting like prima donna. He can't have his cake and eat it too.

                • With respect to Martinez' talents, comments like this are pure sign of cowardice, as if they do not get tested before and after fights. A barking dog does not bite. To become the top dog, bite not bark.

Because he's not a big enough name right now to secure a fight with Floyd but after he beats Jr his name value will significantly increase.

You really don't see why Martinez would want to ask an opponent that has been caught cheating in the past to take a test? Also failed to take a post-fight test because the Texas commission "forgot" and now Top Rank wants Martinez to fight this opponent in, yup you guessed it, Texas. Can you see now?

What I fail to see is how people defend Jr. with absolutely no ground to stand on. The guy is a cheater, his Godfather is the head of the wrenched WBO, his last name is Chavez, he is a paper champ and above all, after already being caught cheating, refuses to accept more stringent drug testing.
