Wow, the WBA is so bipolar lol. They allow Sturm to have as many voluntary defense as he wants and allowed him to avoid his mandatory and obvious beating against Gennady Golovkin. I think that in both cases they're motivated by a love of sanctioning fees more than anything.

They didn't have a choice really. If they had demoted him after a robbery like that then they would have looked absolutley ridiculous. Abril should be the champion and there is no debate to be had with regards to that.

I don't really know what to make of this. I'm genuinely still pissed about that fight.

You just broke it down to what it means. It's all politics and economics and doesn't show in the slightest that Abril was robbed on the highway.

The decision was a disgrace and people who don't see the mechanics behind the WBA decision have no clue what boxing has developed into.
