I say there is a simple way to resolve this. What does the MMA fighter train that a boxer also similarly trains? STAND UP.... Basically u can't prove anything about Whose the better fighter when u make it a boxing match or mma rules fight.... Rather put them in a K1 fight with MMA gloves, stand up rules( punching , kicking , elbows knees ) , in this way the boxer doesn't have to worry about ground fighting and with the mma gloves punchig power increases, athe MMA fighter can use his knees elbows kicks and is used to MMA gloves. I think 8 outta ten times the boxer will win, even though he doesn't train in kicking and etc.
been done the karate guy stays at a distance and keeps kicking the knee area like a wuss. everytime theres 1 of these the non boxer is terrified of getting punched and wont exchange or get close enough to take risks

      There is no problem.

Put them in a ring with real combat rules (no rules) and see who wins.

      That's it.

When you're comparing martial arts, you don't need rules and limitations. Just fight, and see which one wins.

Dude crocop learnt how to grapple and sprawl and he was a pure striker. Couture was a pure grappler and he learnt how to stand up fight as well. At first ur body needs to get used to the diff art but you will be able to adapt .

Why do people assume the MMA fighter would even be able to take the boxer to the ground? It's just as likely the boxer will land a blow and smash the MMA fighter's face off. Most street fights are finished in a few exchanged blows. Besides ... official MMA fights ban certain striking moves on the ground which can be used to nullify many elements of grappling. For example, while in a north south position the fighter on the bottom is not allowed knee the fighter on top in the head. They say it's about "fighter safety" when really it's about "grappler protection."

It took more than simply 2yrs for cro cop to learn grappling and couture to learn standup.

And even after over a decade each by mma standards they suck in those particular aspects.

The best boxer to ever transition to mma is jeremy williams who once fought wlad for a title. And even after dedicating himself fully to the sport his grappling isnt ufc calibre.

Because it aint lies homie. This is just one example of endless examples. My personal opinion, the boxer whoops MMA guy in a boxing match, and the MMA guy does the same to a boxer in a MMA fight, unless............the boxer lands a Tyson Blow to the chin. LOL
