Hell yeah make it happen! Alvarado is totally right in this interview. Only problem with that is Alvarado is unheard of to the "casual" fan. The PPV numbers would be significantly higher with Rios. Arum has other plans of course. He wouldn't have had the fix in yesterday if he wasn't already set on pairing Marquez & Rios. I have a feeling he wants to build up for Rios against Pac. I'm sure Marquez will have to KO Rios to get this win because I'm sure Arum is already in the process of greasing some palms in Dallas.Last edited by GodInFleshSuit; 04-15-2012, 04:06 PM.Comment

Are you fcking ******? Vazquez schooled the sht out of presscot it wasnt even close exept for the early knockdownIt's not like he's fought complete bums either. He fought Ray Narh, who was at least ranked in the Top 10 by a few organizations. He beat Prescott, he beat Abril and Khan, and should also have wins over Vazquez and McCloskey. And he beat Herrera, who was coming off solid wins over Dallas Jr and Provodnikov.
He's been in there with good fighters. I don't think he beats Khan, Marquez, Bradley, or Judah, but I'd give him at the very least a shot at 140 against Maidana, Rios, Matthysse, Soto, etc.Comment

Or, Gamboa could have been hit more because he does not have Abril's defence nor his size and maybe not his chin. Thats why styles make fights and triangle theories fail.Last edited by richardt; 04-15-2012, 04:46 PM.Comment

A shut out??? You're delusional. Alvarado lost the first five rounds when Prescott was sticking and moving, out boxing him. Alvarado won rounds 6-9, out landed him and landed the harder shots. Than, Alvarado stopped him in the 10th. It was like a tale of two fights. Brawlers aren't "bums", it's just their style. And when they can cut the distance and get going, they are a load to handle if they are good fighters like Rios, Alvarado, Maidana, and Kirkland. They always run the risk of getting out boxed, but if they can cut the distance and find their opponent, they can hurt them and win the fight. Alvarado was down 87-84/86-85 when he knocked Prescott out and had won the last 3-4 rounds no doubt.
I wouldn't favor him against Khan, Bradley, Judah, Marquez, and probably not Peterson. But he'd have more than a shot against guys like Matthysse, Soto, Garcia, Guzman, Rios, etc.
And it's not like Prescott and Herrera are bums. Prescott beat Khan and Abril, and should also have a win over McCloskey. And Herrera was coming off 2 good wins over Dallas Jr and Provodnikov.Last edited by 4Corners; 04-15-2012, 05:40 PM.Comment

He beat Prescott and I didn't mean to say he should have wins over him. But, I was just saying he did fight Vazquez, who's pretty good. It's not like Prescott and Herrera are bums or something.
My god, boxing fans are the king internet trash talkers. No other sport has fans that talk as much s**t on the internet.Comment
