It was just a stylistic nightmare for him, man. I don't see how anybody can deny that.
I would understand weight being used as an excuse if Rios made it a competitive fight and just gassed out towards the end, rendering his punching ineffective.
But this wasn't the case. He actually became MORE active as the fight went on, he just was unable to land effectively.
I been saying this since the talks of Rios going up to 140 started. He's not the power puncher folks hype him to be. He's a not a KO artist, and we are gonna see that once he moves up in weight. He's a relentless pressure fighter with a strong chin who has tremendous success with guys that are equally as flat footed and are willing to trade with him. He grinds them down.
What really surprised is the fact that Abril didn't even run from this dude. he stood right in front of him, and Rios still couldn't do s**t
