  • I thought Rios won, and I am glad they aren't encouraging fighters like Abril to think they can win like that. Rios was a dead man last night and Abril had all the opportunities to take advantage of that and in my eyes he dipped the ball.

I honestly think he he actually threw punches and committed to them he could have stopped Rios.

The way he held last night was some of the worst I have ever seen, and it was nothing like how Molina did it or Ward

Even Abril wasn't thrilled with his own performance because he knows the network execs who were there, and there was even someone from Showtime, weren't happy with the lack of action in the "grudge" main event.
Most of us had never heard of Abril before this fight, so most didn't know what to expect. What I saw yesterday was one boxer make the other boxer look silly, as if he was an ametuer who was fighting his first pro fight.

I doubt that Abril feels like he had a crappy performance, most guys who fight Rios have their faces rearranged, Abril looked like the fight hadn't even started yet, If anybody is disappointed it should be Rios.

Antillon vs Rios was real grudge match, this never had the feeling of a grudge match.

            • in light of what happens do we still think that...

              Scenario A

              - gamboa lost his mind

              Scenario B

Arum: "yuri, we will give you 1 mil to fight brandon rios."
              Gamboa: "done"
              ***2 weeks later***
Arum: "forgot to mention, you have to take a loss, i've already bribed the judges."
Gamboa: "**** you, i'm out! going to mayweather's gym now, peace."

Scenario A or B guys, you tell me.

                    • I laughed when they announced that Rios had won. He's a idiot if he thinks he won that fight.
