Sturm is a better fighter than JCC Jr. so him beating a guy worse shouldn't be that surprising.

Both Murray and macklin put on performances against Sturm that IMO make them more credible opponents than Chavez on paper. But, for whatever reason Martinez will get crucified for taking those fights, but it's ok to chase the Chavez fight? (that, in theory, should be less risky).

The logic behind what people would like to see in the MW division is skewed I think.
If Chavez beats Lee legitimately I wouldn't say that Macklin nor Murray has/had put in more work than him at 160.

I do agree what you're saying though about fans being skewed what they want to see. However, I think what would make the Murray and a Barker funny is that they even look at Pirog direction yet they look at these type of opponents. That is what makes that funny IMO.

If the Pirog vs Geale happens then that winner will be the #1 not Chavez/Lee

This is accurate.Plus the Zbik that fought against Chavez was not the same guy that was in with Sturm

And he doesn't have overrated power bcse he doesn't have power he fights with a double digit weight advantage and doesn't even bruise up guys

              Heavy with little KO power.
He's well below Clottey. Clottey can hurt you, he can cut you, bruise you up. His punches are straight and hard, they can snap your head back and draw the crowds attention, as well his opponents attention. He had a prime Margarito holding on to him for dear life, after Tony ran in to an uppercut I think, with his chin all out. He hurt Margarito pretty bad with that one punch.

Actually i would consider the Hassan Njikam/Maksym Bursak winner on equal standing as the Lee/Chavez winner.

Any one who hyped up Zbik as a solid fighter to make Chavez Jr's resume look good, I just want to talk boxing with them in person. I want to ask a question, and see the look on their face, and what ****** answer they'll give, when I ask them who has Sebastian beaten? "Well he was a top..." wait wait wait, I didn't ask that, i'm asking you who has he beaten? "Well this guy Barker hasn't...." are you deaf? I'm asking you who has Sebastian beaten to make him a solid opponent? I'm not asking you about other Middleweights resumes.

In a division where almost everyone hasn't beaten anyone of note, "who has he beaten?" is the wrong question to ask. Zbik on paper is as solid as anyone else until the other top contenders step up and prove otherwise. If you go strictly by "who has he beaten?" nobody is solid in middleweight with maybe 2-3 exceptions.

I'm no fan of Chavez Jr. But the bout against Zbik was his first world championship fight ever.

Sturm has a tad bit more experience than that, don't you think?
