So what makes you great is how you end? Really, there is no logic in that at all.

actually, thats what people think. roy ended his career (provided he retired today) losing 3 consecutive fights, two by brutal knockout. no other great fighter in history has had a terrible finish to a great career like roy has.

thats not what i said at all. after his fight with virgil hill, jones went on this 5 year stretch of fighting nobodies, bums, and never-has-beens. then he fights tarver, wins a close decision, then loses 3 consecutive fights to actually decent opponents.
when the time came around for him to have another big fight (the john the bum ruiz fight notwithstanding) he came up short. he faild to live up to expectations in 3 consecutive and humiliating fights.
He failed to live up to expectations being a 35 year old champ. Got you.

Ray Leonard lost his last two fights in a one sided fashion.
Ray Robinson lost 5 fights in 1965, the last year he fought.
Ezzard Charrles lost 9 of his last 13 fights.
Bob Foster lost his last two fights by KO to nobodies.
The list goes on and on and on.
You have NO IDEA what you're talking about when you say **** like this. You are speaking from pure ignorance, yet your tone sounds like you think you have the slightest clue as to what you are talking about.

No, he unified the titles at 175, cleaned out the division, and moved up to Heavyweight giving away 40lbs and was the first man to win a Heavyweight title coming up from middleweight in almost 100 years.
LOL so funny how now everybody realizes Toney has the better resume. This poll was made in November and the new one in March and already it's changed drastically from Hopkins/Jones to Toney. I'm proud to say I voted Toney in November and I voted Toney today.

excellent point. Roy did not fight a good opponent after Hill in 98 until Tarver in 2003 and he got beat up, knocked out in the rematch, knocked out in his next fight, and dropped a decision his next fight. he ran into a fighter that wasn't afraid to stand up to him (everyone after Virgil Hill), who wasn't too green (Hopkins), who wasn't weight-drained (Toney) when he met Tarver and he got turned into a completely different fighter after realizing he wasn't the man.
