  • Who will leave boxing with the best legacy out of Toney, Jones and Hopkins?

Man this is a hard one, but I think with hardcore boxing fans, it would have to be Jones and barely.

    Jones
    Olympian (really a gold medalist)
Ring Mag Fighter of the Decade
    Multi division champ
    Heavyweight champ
    Great speed, power, reflexes, etc.

    Toney
Two time Ring Mag Fighter of the Year
    Multidivision champ
Career "resurrection" against an Olympian in Jirov (gold medalist I think)
    Heavyweight Champion
Has a good chance of become undisputed heavyweight champ

    Hopkins
Great wins over DLH and Tito
Has the record for most defenses of the title
    Extremely smart fighter, calculating
    98
    James Toney
    20.41%
    20
    Roy Jones Jr
    42.86%
    42
    Bernard Hopkins
    36.73%
    36

jones, he beat both of them while they were all of them were in there prime or close to it.

dont give me this bull that hopkins was green when they fought, hop had more fights in and is older.

toney was considered top 2 or 3 in the world at the time jones handed his ass to him.

    jones than hop than toney.

Jones as of now but if Toney unifies he'll definately leave with the best legacy.

I agree, if Toney unifies the heavyweight division, I see no reason as to why he didnt have a better career than Jones.

Fix, come on now. Hopkins and Toney aged for the better not the worse. They're better fighters than when Roy beat them way back when.

          hmm

Roy beat them both, end of story.

Hops and Toney are great fighters though. It depends on who Toney unifies against whether or not his legacy is better than Roy's. He's got a long way to go to unify and the guys that have the belts are not p4p as skilled as a lot of the guys Roy beat earlier in his career. Klitschko will be the real challenge for Toney, but he doesn't hold a belt. Rahman isn't very good and Byrd is old and it shows, but if Toney beats Brew he'll get a lot of credit from me.

I agree. Jones was more dominate too and real boxing fans know that the Tarver fights and the Johnston fight were ones of a shot fighter. Overall, Jones ranks the top. Toney, God forbid, if he were to unify the heavyweight division and in style would have a chance to contend though!

Jones left on a bad note..

That leaves it down to Hopkins and Toney.
If Hopkins wins on Saturday it will be Hopkins! Until and if Toney can do some major destriuctions at heavyweight and fights someone better than Guinn

But Roy still beat them. It isn't Roy's fault they "wern't at their best".
