            here's an article

By Laz Izada: This Saturday night April 14th Don King Productions presents boxing at Casino Miami Jai-Alai. The card features Miami hometown appeal as Joey Hernandez and Bermane Stiverne will be featured in separate bouts.

Joey Hernandez (20-1-1, 11 Kos), of Cuban descent and the current WBC U.S. Super Welterweight Champion will be taking on Shakir Ashanti (16-12, 4 k) of New Bern, North Carolina in the ten round main event match –up.

The Co-Main Event will feature Haitian born WBC Silver Heavyweight Champion Bermane Stiverne (21-1-1, 20 Kos) against Willie Herring (13-10-3, 4 Kos) from Orlando, Florida in a scheduled eight round bout.

Stiverne grew up in Haiti and in Miami with his mother until the age of twelve, then he moved to Quebec, Canada to live with his father, will be making his first professional boxing appearance in Miami.

After Wednesday’s press conference Stiverne told me that he is looking forward to fighting in Miami where lots of family and friends will be able to see him. He is also excited about getting in the ring after a long time between fights.

In his last fight he beat veteran Ray Austin last June by TKO to capture the vacant WBC Silver Heavyweight title.

Stiverne which had over 90 amateur fights was a six- time Quebec Golden Gloves Champion (1999-2005) and was also a member of the Canadian National Boxing team from 2003-2005 competing in several international boxing tournaments.

In 2005 he turned pro and signed with Don King. He is now 33 years old stands 6’2” and weights around 240 Lbs for his bouts. He has an impressive 20 knockouts in 23 fights. Other than beating Ray Austin last year he has defeated notable heavyweights such as Robert Hawkins (2009) and Kertson Manswell (2011), and has a draw against Charles Davis (2009) and his only loss came against Demetrice King (2007).

Stiverne which lives and trains in Las Vegas, is now the WBC No. 1 –ranked contender, the plans are for him to fight Herring Saturday night then fight again in July, then eventually fight WBC Heavyweight Champion Vitali Klitschko in the fall.

Heavyweight aficionados and all boxing fans will be excited seeing this top ranked Heavyweight this Saturday night at Casino Miami Jai-Lai.
Ticket prices range from $10-$70 and can be purchased at Casino Miami Jai-Lai box office and at www.ticketweb.com, or by calling 1-866-468-3399.
Doors open at 6:30pm with first bout starting around 7:00pm

Bermane is alright, love to see him an Arreola or him and Deontay. Other then that a Klitschko? He gets owned. Actually him first Chisora wouldn't be bad.

I'd take Arreola in that. He'd be Deontay's biggest test... since he hasn't even been tested once
