You only have to see how wide the scorecards are to see something isn't quite right.

I believe 1 had it 7 or 8 rounds for Lundy whilst one had it 2 the other way, how can you even explain that?
Excellent points. I only saw portions of those fights, so I've had to rely on other evidence to form an idea. By all accounts, the losses were close. Many have Abril over Lundy. The judges' scores are very su****ious, too. They have that stinking look you're referring to.

Excellent point. He has been down, hurt & stunned. I've also noticed him looking very vulnerable to bodyshots.
John Murray not a big puncher appeared to have him in some trouble via bodyshots!
It should also be mentioned Abril is very accurate. His powerpunch connect % is in excess of 40% & with Rios leaky defense, who knows?

I really think this is a cherrypick gone wrong.
They've looked at this kids K.O % & such and thought ''easy nights work''

Stylistically this has trouble written all over it for Rios. This Cuban is no stepping stone.

            Manny stops him before.

I don't see how a guys whose best win is against John Murray though is worthy of stepping up & facing either.
I'm really not sure he even gets passed Abril.

yah rios may fight like margarito, but i don't think he has a strong chin like margarito.

Never rated him. Always found him very inconsistent and vulnerable.
Abril beat him 6 months after Rios, destroyed him, I don't give Abril much credit for it either.
Acosta has 3 losses, could of been 4 or 5 actually against nobodies, also 2 draws.
Only time he looked good was against C level slugger Antillion, a good a tear up.

abril should be able to outbox rios for most of the fight.. it just depends on whether he can take rios power when he gets caught with occasional shots.. if he can take the power then he's in with a major shot at an upset..

True he is also a lot better conditioned than Rios! Margarito has one hell of a chin & I think he is slightly better technically than he gets credit for.

I see nothing in Rios but a guy who can't do anything unless you stand right infront of him or lay on the ropes. When Acosta showed him some movement he didn't know WTF to do, he looked lost, uncoordinated & had no answer what so ever.
His footwork is absolutely horrific, he has no jab or boxing ability what so ever.

Its unbelievable how he has such a huge fanbase & is so highly praised because all I see is how I imagine Maidana to look when hes 45.
The only time I'd ever pay to see this guy fight is if he fought say Michael Katsidis @ 140 or 135 for that matter.
P.P.V main event, what a joke.

I think he can. Abrils showed a world class chin so far in his career & whilst labelled a ****er I've seen nothing from Rios that would lead me to suggest hes a massive puncher. Usually wears guys down from an accumulation.

Sure the guy can hit hard but lets be honest, the guys he is stopping have all been made for him & stopped before.

If you stand infront of him impersonating a heavybag, the guy will hurt you but I don't see him as this 1 punch knockout, unstoppable, granite chinned beast everyone else is harping on about.
