I wouldn't say "Cotto has a puncher's chance." That doesn't apply here. He has a chance, but if he wins, it won't be a lucky punch that causes it.
Mosley hits harder. Cotto lands more and does more damage.Comment

Nice, good explanation. Mosley puts everything he has into his right hand power shots and throws it straight, hard and quick, so it's more explosive and has more one shot KO potential.
Cotto's shots are heavy but he stays more planted and on balance so he doesn't get the same type of crack, but they are like bludgeoning punches.
One thing that pisses me off about Cotto is how he admires a combination he throws and sits back for a second. Usually the guy is at least a little hurt and he should keep pressing but often doesn't. Against Mayweather this would be the worst thing to do, as soon as you admire that shot he will pot shot you twice.Comment

mosley has better power upstairs, cotto more pop downstairs... at any weight.Just trying to see if Cotto has a punches chance, considering Mosley had Mayweather hurt in the second round of their fight. If Cotto can hurt Mayweather, can he effectively pressure him to get a KO, or even a knockdown. What if Cotto hurts him bad, does Mayweather run into survival. I know its wishful thinking for Cotto fans, but its not impossible. Just trying to convince myself to buy the PPV or watch it in theaters.Comment

Shane Mosley definitely has the significantly harder punching power. I believe its Cotto's speed that will cause a little more difficulty at that wait. Then again he is fighting Mayweather at his more comfortable weight class.
Also when it comes to who at 154 as of now? Alvarez is in his prime and it will an interesting fight against Mosley.Comment
