I'm perfectly comfortable with him moving up to 175 and fighting other top fighters. If Bute is real, he's not going anywhere. I see no reason why a fight can't be made down the line at 168, 175 or a catchweight.
Bute vs Ward at 168 is arguably the biggest and best fight in boxing that can be made outside of Mayweather-Pacquiao.

Its quite sad to watch so called boxing fans try to play it down.

Maybe after Bute beats Froch you can make that argument. Until then...no, I disagree. I'm not hung up on one fight. Ward has plenty of top fighters he can choose from.

Why do you think so my friend? There's still Bute, Dirrell and Kessler for him to fight at 168.

Long time no speak, pal. I'm no fan of Dirrell - talented yes but...his heart and will leaves me shaking my head. As for the other two...Ward isn't going anywhere. There is no reason why those fights can't be made down the line. If Ward was moving up and fighting bums then I'd take umbrage. But moving up to fight the Hopkins' of the world is alright in my book. Roy Jones could've stayed at 160 if he chose. But moving up to fight the best at 168 was just as good, if not better.

I think there's plenty of time for Ward to move up. The guy is only in his mid-twenties. I think he should take care od business at 168 before moving up.

A Dawson fight at 175 could be very interesting (for hardcore fans) down the line, but THAT fight isn't going anywhere. At 168 there's a lot of money to be made against Bute and a return with Kessler.

As for Dirrell I follow you completely. He lacks in heart, but has a lot of skills.
