Last I heard Mayweather Promotions isn't even a licensed promotional company in LV. Hence why he uses Oscar/GBP to co-promote his fights.

I remember Dan Rafael saying something along the same lines about Floyd's promotional company not having a promoter's license. And they probably still use Golden Boy, because they aren't as established

Mayweather Promotions can co-promote with any of the other promotional companies so they dont need a license. This is pobably more about getting on future Mayweather undercards where you can be seen by the casual viewer. Not just seen by the wack job boxing fans like us on Showbox, HBO, NBC Sports, or ESPN. You put him on the undercard of Mayweather v whoever and he puts some dudes lights out and suddenly Dirrells name starts getting out there. Now I'm hoping they replace Latimore v Quintana with Dirrell v whoever.

If Floyd had anything to do with Gamboa pulling out of the Rios fight, he could have very well stalled or even worse, ended his career. TR will have him shelved for the next year or 2 while the court prededings play out. Damn shame as Gamboa was one of the most exciting guys in the ring!

Yeah, Floyd seems to have gotten in Gamboa's head, and it completely screwed Gamboa over.

andre dirrell is a really good fighter, i rated him for giving frochy a boxing lesson, cant believe he lost his 0 like that. could work out to be good for him..

A lesson in how to run and dive to the deck for 10 rounds before trying to steal a champions belt...yeah I'm sure Froch learned a lot - such as not to get into the ring with someone who has no intention of even engaging.

That's a pretty big name to sign. I know this thread will be full of people calling Dirrell a coward that is signing with another coward, but I hope this works out for him, he's a very talented fighter.

jesse vargas gets really good dates because of mayweather, if u dont know who he is then mebbe u shouldnt belong on this site. either way, the kid is doing well for himself and he got paid over 100,000 for his last fight on the floyd undercard. at his age, with no belt, thats more than something. but then again, i guess u dont know as much as u seem to think u do, ehh?

They have like 4 fighters dude. All the smaller companies use the larger ones. Main Events, Shaw Promotions, Dibella Entertainment all use TR and Golden Boy. What sport have you been watching. Let me guess you dont start paying attention until it gets to the "Lets get ready to rumble." LMAO

Wouldnt it be in Floyds best interest to obtain a license and promote his own fights and keep all the revenue instead of giving up a percentage to Oscar?
