    11 Marquez vs 09 Cotto @ 145lbs

The Marquez that disproved the Pacs a complete fighter myth vs the Cotto that barley beat Clottey at Manny vs Miguel catchweight of 145. How does this fight go down? I think Cottos favored in Vegas but Marquez can always pull off the upset and be robbed. This would be a fun fight to watch though.

The Marquez-Pac III was a more stylistic matchup for me than anything. Just because he beat Pac, doesn't mean he's consistently strong at that weight. I would have to see Marquez against a Top 5 WW to make a decision on how he would do at that weight.

If I had to make a decision, I'm kind of leaning on Marquez beating Cotto right now; but slightly, not by a huge margin.

Would love to see this fight.

Would pick Cotto to win it.

LOL. Marquez wins this fairly easily. He's too much of a technician and too smart for Cotto. He's more fundamentally sound, the more skilled boxer, and has better defense. Marquez is one of the last remaining throwback technicians today. He would pick Cotto apart and take him to school badly. The end.

The triangle theory says JMM beats Cotto but we all know how good triangle theories are...

The reason why JMM looked so good against Pac in the 3rd fight is because Pac was fighting a technical fight. He was boxing in the center of the ring and waiting for JMM to come forward, tactical disaster. Cotto wouldn't do that, he would definitely try to impose his size on JMM, he would put pressure on him from the get go and would land some heavy shots on the blown up lightweight. JMM don't look too good against non stop pressure fighter these days, I see him getting stopped by Cotto late while he's ahead on points.

Cotto from 09 leaned so heavy on the front foot and Marquez can rip uppercuts, but I still think Cotto imposes his greater fight night size on him.

I think Cotto would be tougher for marquez than pac just based on styles. if theyre anybody than can shock me its marquez heart and intelligence.

I believe Marquez could steal a decision..

Marquez would see everything from Cotto coming and like mentioned before his uppercuts would be lethal..If Cotto can't stop Marquez, or atleast hurt him enough to keep him honest, then I think Marquez picks him apart and opens Cotto up..I was that impressed with the 144lb version of Marquez that fought Pacquiao..
