Mayweather vs Cotto related | In your opinion, does Marquez have a good jab?

I only in ask this, because according to boxrec JMM's reach is equal to Miguel Cottos.

JMM's jab was completely ineffective against Mayweather.

    He landed 21 only.

Knowing this, does this change the way you feel about Cotto's chances?

Does Cotto have a better jab then JMM?

JMM has a good jab but it's not spectacular IMO.

Despite Marquez being far and beyond superior to Cotto, Cotto has the better jab.

But I don't think Cotto's jab will be effective against Mayweather.

Marquez doesn't throw his jab like Cotto.

Cotto's jab will be effective for like 3 rounds while Floyd is still gauging distance...once Floyd has that figured out Miguel won't touch him with it.

Just compared their fights against Pac.

And Cotto landed slightly more jab leather on Pac, than JMM did.

Cotto likes to use his jab more!

Whereas, I think Marquez varies his offense!

Reckon we're gonna see a lot of this happening:

Not particularly. The good thing he does with it is he uses it pretty much as the first punch in every combo, so it blinds the fighters to the other oncoming punches, whereas Cotto can use it as a single offensive tool to score points.

i like cotto but you know damn well right after the fight will be like 10 GIFS of floyd countering cotto's jab with the straight right.

every single douchebag here will have it as their signature.

If JMM - Mayweather wasn't effected so much by weight (on both fighters) then it would have been much different. Floyd had such a advantage coming in overweight and towering over Marquez, while Marquez himself was forced to jump two entire weight classes to fight him.
