I like Chavez head to head but their resumes are pretty dead even IMO

Umm easily Pacquiao. First of all, Chavez Sr has to hold the record for most bums on a resume. There is just no way that he doesn't hold that record. Second of all, Pacquiao would knock him out in round 2. He will "Hatton" him if you will. Chavez Sr. may hold his weight in the so called "legacy" side but once Pacquiao retires all talks will shift over to his G.O.A.T. status in boxing. Fighter of the decade, fighter of the year, number one pound for pound etc.

Lol. What's next...Pac on Ariza's shoulders vs Ali?

A guy who isnt even the best in his division and has gone up avoiding said best in divisions? <__<... Gotta be more subtle with the trolling bro. Make it look like you're at least serious.

Resume, and all time great wise IMO Chavez ranks higher.

H2H depending on the weight IMO. at 130 and at WW I think Pac might edge it. At 135 and 140 I will give it to Chavez. Pac only had 1 fight each in those weight-classes not much to judge on.

Yeah in head to head I think it's fair to judge the fight based on where they would both perform best at. IMO it would probably be 130/135. Pac was still pretty one handed, and Chavez had 2 good hands, to the head and body.

A big part of a fighter's legacy is established by how he leaves the game. So, I'll save any judgments regarding Pac til I see it take place.
But, head-to-head, I'd probably favor Pac a little, based on speed and endurance. Would be an awesome war.

Yea at 130 Chavez was still somewhat green though. I think he was at his best at 135-140.

here was my take on the same subject 2+ years ago... right after MP beat cotto

they are quite close in terms of legacy IMO...

but what sets them apart is that JCC has dominated a single division for a longer period of time to be considered 1 of the best ever @ super lightweight... here is cliff rold's take...

while MP has dominated 4 lineal champs in as many divisions & against some solid titlists, he has yet to dominate a single weight class for a longer period to be considered one of the best ever @ a certain weight...

as for some head to head confro, wow...

what a fight it would be... my dream fight...

a tough, methodical iron chinned body puncher

against an unorthodox & powerful speed demon...

i wouldve favored JCC, but after what MP proved against cotto, his chances to win against JCC has boosted drastically IMO...
