There is no "aura of invincibility" with Floyd. He already lost to Oscar and Castillo and he struggled with Hatton, Mosley, and Judah. The plain and simple truth is that people tune in to see Floyd lose. He's built a persona on being the biggest douche rocket in the sport of boxing, because he knows his fighting style alone would draw little to no fans. His racist rants, sucker punching and such only hurt his reputation but he seems to thrive on these type of things. Cotto will bully him and Pac would end his career in a few rounds.

To put it plain and simple... When Pac is talked about, they are saying good things.

When Floyd is talked about, they are saying bad things.
I get you but to a lot of people they think he's undefeated so he'll keep winning, but if he fights a good enough fighter like Pacquiao he could lose. Pacquiao is popular for a lot of reasons being a very exciting excellent fighter who is humble and respectful

No kidding. If they want to know that bad it's really not THAT hard to find. I even had to school Gabe Montoya on this subject like 6 months ago.

Floyds the biggest draw in boxing because Pact@rd Nation is terrified of him. Manny doesnt get this kind of attention because Floyd fans see Manny as an inferior boxer in every shape and form of the sport.

In my opinion, its a combination of his contraversial outspoken behavior along with the majority of the boxing world wanting to see him lose. Truth is, outside of the boxing purists, many dont find Floyd's defensive fighting style entertaining. He's a huge draw because he's created so much hate for himself that the casual masses tune in to see who's going to beat him and see the look on his face when/if it does happen. This is not to say that many dont appreciate his mastery in the ring. What i'm saying is, this is not the main reason he's such a huge draw.

He declined when Floyd changed the terms of the agreement. Which really means Floyd declined. It was a publicity stunt. Seems a pattern for Floyd.

Don't underestimate the Pacquaio factor. Both have dangled that carrot of the superfight to raise their own profile. No coincidence that both are doing big numbers at the same time, despite both being around for years.

Still, I find it pretty remarkable that Floyd does big numbers. I know why the hardcores are interested - we are watching an ATG in his last few fights. But for the casuals? His fights are hardly entertaining - he's either pitching shut-outs or pulling **** like the Ortiz fight.

And it's not like he's facing huge threats either. Say what you want abou DLH but he fought some great fighters.

If I was in America, I absolutely would not pay for another Floyd fight after the Ortiz farce. That, and the fact that his whole career right now just feels like a cash-grab, a way to top of his bank balance, just turns me off completely.
